Qb update days before a starter is decided

I think they should just play all 3.

I don't know that we will play all 3, but I do think Manny will be Captain Hook and will switch out QBs if the starter kicks off games like Malik did last year and has 3 straight series where he cant accurately pass the ball.

As he should. Just like Sabag did 3 years ago. His starter last two series of the opening game. You can usually tell pretty quickly if the moment is too big for your QB.

QB is a position that you can't really play musical chairs with.

Pick a starter, but have him on a short leash. Keeps him and his backups pushing to improve if they know the job isn't decided.

It would not surprise me one bit that all three play against UF in and the guy with the hot hand will stay in the game. That makes it more difficult for UF to prepare and gives all three an equal chance in a game day environment with national exposure.

I have been pretty silent since Fall camp started about this QB race but I am at a point now where I must say that I am not at all happy that not one of these QBs has separated themselves 16 days before the biggest game of the year. I could see if all 3 were having unbelievably fantastic camps and all 3 are just so good its impossible to choose one. It seems like all 3 are good sometimes, bad others, and wildly inconsistent. That doesn't make me feel confident at all going into this game.

I feel like we heard this same talk about inconsistent QB play going into the LSU game last year and we ignored it thinking our guys would just show up because LSUs offense was so bad we would just fall into a W by default. And we saw what happened.

And its not like the D is just so dominant and overwhelming that its impossible for them to perform..alot of this stuff just sounds like Grade A *****-ups. Overthrown balls, fumbles in the pocket, interceptions,. I know we don't see everything but ****, we know that not one QB has just stolen the job and taken the reins.

UF is right around the corner. This isn't Spring ball anymore. Its showtime and we are still BSing around trying to find a QB that can string together 3 straight good (not great) practices. Feel free to hit me with the "marathon not sprint" talk but the reality is the UF is coming and that game is upon us any day now. At some point we need to finish the **** race. But I digress.

One thing is for certain, the coaches are gonna have their hands full putting the team in a position to win...after reading Barry Jackson, I believe now that Kosi will give us the best chance to win some games. But, Enos is gonna have to reel his behind in. My main issue with Kosi is he tries to fit balls in where it is almost impossible to do so. Case in point that TD against UNC last year, that pass should've been picked off.

serious question. how do you know the coaches aren't 100% set on who they're going with, and confident in that pick?

All 3 can be dynamic with Enos coaching.
Perry is best suited for Enos offense
Jarren is the best passer and it would be his job if he didn’t play catch-up (which Barry alluded to)
Tate is Enos ideal QB in terms of the Mental side of the ball but is inconsistent throwing the ball. This QB race is going well into the season but if I had to bet I’d say Tate gets the starting role 8/24. I’m not sure I trust Perry or Jarren to handle the enormous pressure against a team like UF in a rival game.

On another point, is it possible when talking about the punter, pooch punts he is actually kicking a dingo?

Uf just had a scrimmage where their backup Kyle trask who wasn’t even a stater in highschool outplayed feleipe franks who also threw a pick 6 in that scrimmage, relax. All of the qbs are doing some good things but have to keep working on their consistency. And Make no mistake about it, these QBs when facing the ones are going against an elite defense that has been in place for going on 4 years. Of course they will play at a high level. But it’s good to see from reports that the offense is at least challenging them. I was also reading a report yesterday about fromm in camp and even he was off the other day too at times. It happens. Everyone says the qb play improved and you probably should take their word for it especially with enos’s Track record of working with qbs and how he operates. No matter what the qb play won’t be like it was last year which was anomaly and you can bet on that

Not buying the spin that there has been no separation at all at this point or that it is still a three man race. May still be up in the air between Martell and Williams, but Perry is not the guy.
