Pugh Has Miami in Top List

in this article he says he grew up a big time Gator fan seems like the kid just tells people what they want to hear http://miami.247sports.com/Article/2014-LB-Jacob-Pugh-Wins-Second-State-Title-106806

If they keep dragging their feet they will be on the outside looking in. Honestly he is wide open.
Florida only has one more outside LB spot left Muschamp would rather take Dillon Bates or Richard Yeargin III over Pugh. Why hasn't Miami offered Yeargin?

Not a reason but Pete said in another thread when he watched Yeargin play he was virtually non-existent.

Godby is not the feeder school that Lincoln is in Tally. If the kid has serious interest we may have a shot. If this was Lincoln or North Florida Christian.....

Honestly that isn't even the case anymore. Go back and look at all the kids who have gone d1 from tally and look how many have signed with FSU in recent years. The last one was Willie Downs.

Travis Blanks
TJ Davis
Laith Harlow
Reggie Davis
James Hearns and Taj Williams (even though they havent signed yet)

this is all with in the last couple years. Kids in this town are not as in with FSU as they have been in the past.

I don't think Yeargin is a great player from what I've seen. He is a major project.

My impression is that quite a few of them want to get out.

We've always managed to "almost get" big time Tally products - Vanover, Simms, Rouse, Crappy, Watkins, et al, were all guys that at one time verballed to our staff and decided at the last minute to go elsewhere.

I'm cool with going after these guys.

my buddy keeps telling me this, never trust what these kids say to the reporters, take everything they say with a grain of salt, especially those that say the whole "dream school" thing GTFO

Yep you especially have to consider who they are talking to. Pugh told each school's reporter what their fans want to hear. Also reporters that cover a particular school tend to ask more questions about that school which will skew the final product.

My buddy coaches baseball at Godby and is a big time Cane fan. He told me he was talking to Pugh in the weight room and Pugh told him he really wants to hear from Miami but they haven't offered yet.

Hollyhood needs to get this boy down to Goldens Camp.
