I have now heard it all. Howard Schnellenberger, who invented Miami football, is "not a great coach".

Just to recap, Butch never had a winning conference record in ACC games, he never beat NC St./Tom O'Brien at UNC, was 1-3 vs UVA and 0-3 vs Al Groh at UNC, was 0-2 vs ECU/Steve Logan at Miami, and has a career record of 1-3 vs ECU.

Somehow, GOAT coRches John Bunting, Randy Shannon, and Al Golden all managed to have winning conference records in ACC games and Butch Davis Da Gawd could never do that.

Considering Standford is a real place and there is also a Standford University, it shows you are an idiot. If you're that stupid to believe I got them mixed up, then please continue. Nature will take care of itself.

please, find me this "standford" university that is so well-known that it would take precedence in the autocorrect pecking order over one of the biggest brands in higher education on the planet. there's a "sanford" university that you're probably thinking about, but i wouldn't expect someone completely blinded by butch nostalgia to know the difference.

My bad. I just googled Standford and a bunch of **** came up with Standford in the web links and titles and I didn't bother to look further. They are typos for Stanford. The location still exists in England. You're still an idiot if you believe I thought it was Standford.

You are right, so one more time. Every one of our NC teams were recruited by Butch to one extent or another except the first. That is the major point, but also, he developed players and nobody else except JJ and Howard have. Then there is the fact that many of his assistants went of the HC jobs in college and NFL. Oh, did I mention that he did his last and greatest work under virtual death sentence from NCAA? At Miami he is football god.
