Pruitt Out at Tennessee

Sounds like Tennessee is gonna have a massive “cloud” over their program.

Anybody know of a good head coaching candidate who knows to handle clouds?

I was wondering about this when the rumors started. But let’s say certain player was committed there but signed somewhere else.
Could that players eligibility be in jeopardy if it was found it he took some extra curriculars?

Man that

man that was one of the greatest Press conference of all time! Lol he had me glued and sold lol 😂
He could've done it. It really is true. But, "the ring of power" ala his fealty to Donuts, ruined his career and reputation. He's a cautionary tale, now. So sad. And, it didn't have to be this way, but it's what happens when you don't listen to and heed wise counsel.

Fast forward to now and Baker is still the Miami Hurricanes Defensive Coordinator.

now does everyone see why steele took that Tennessee job? i believe it was jay20 who called it from the beginning

Oh I get why he took it, and I also think he must be mildly retarded to think it was a good idea. He's already got a bad rep from his attempted coups, he's a mixed bag at DC, and Tennessee is going to get kneecapped by the NCAA. He has virtually no chance of success. The only way I can see it being a good idea is if he is playing 3D chess and is just chasing a onetime get rich quick scheme. He wants SEC HC money (like 4-6 million per year for a lower end program) and plans on getting out of the biz in 3 years. If that's the case, kudos to him. Otherwise it's a terrible idea and he'd have been better of letting some other patsy take the bullets for 3 years until they come out of sanctions.

This is an interesting article about the mess at UT. They make Miami look like a competent program (oh btw for those who think that schools that "care about football" and pour money and resources into programs=success; Texas and now Tennessee prove that sheer luck and finding a great HC is a lot more important than how many millions the school puts into football or whether the AD cares)

Kinda funny though that they said some blogger took issue with hiring of Schiano and that helped torpedo the deal. They didn't actually mention why some Tennessee fans were against Schiano... covering up for a child diddler? Yeah I think that's a legit reason to not want Schiano around your program.

I would think Gus Malzahn would be a pretty good hire for UT. Hire him and Steele stays on as DC. Makes sense.

Both Texas and Tennessee would smoke Miami on the field. You know it, I know it, and everyone who is honest knows it.

And yeah.... our admin doesn't give a single, solitary **** about the football program.
