the Texas game showed what happens to him when he is "off" for most of the game. they sucked.

Not the game I watched. Against Texas he struggled to throw the 15 and out or anything that needed to be thrown on a rope. As a result Texas took away the lollipop throws.

While I'll agree that the season is a success I'm not getting into conceding ****. We need to win now & worry about later later. Getting here again is seemingly never a guarantee for us unless we go undefeated. We all saw the clownshow for a month. Season isn't over. Jobs not done. Take it while you got the chance. It's never been more difficult to keep your team focused & Mario has a **** of a task ahead of him with that.

Not impossible but it’ll be helluva challenge getting through 8 & 4 and then of all teams, Taint.
 
Something clicked, I don’t wanna say the SMU loss was good but if that doesn’t happen we prob drop one of the last 4 and have nowhere close to this momentum.

It was the wake up call for change. Say whatever you want about our guy but he wants this **** more than any of us. Mario is one of us, let’s go win it!

I mean the reason I'm happy to get in is cuz I think we can win. Yea it'll be tough but all the more satisfying if we get it done. And I'm confident it will be tough on our opponents too. We've all said this feels different & maybe we'll be right. Technically we already are but you know..

I am thinking he(Mario) learned this lesson over the last 4 game stretch & must have been thinking why did I wrap up against ND mid 3 Q ?

Something changed after that loss to SMU. Alot of us were done with him, and this staff is very intuned with social media. When we lost to UL i knew we were gonna lose another game if we didnt change, they doubled down and we did. After the SMU game, the coverage and the fan sentiment changed and credit to him and them, they made actual changes and the results were clear we started beating teams how we supposed to.

No doubt in my mind if they didnt, we lose to Pittsburgh. I am very excited to watch us v Texas A&M. I was very nervous to miss out on the playoffs, why? Because i feel the team is built to play against these type of teams, even more so than teams like SMU or other lower ACC teams with more motion and sideways offenses. Even when you look at the size of our DBs, its like a team built to play v NFL WRs. The lines are built to play V NFL type trench players. This is the beginning. We can take it all the way. We played in alot of close games, more than we should have, it might help us

you can make an argument that the job is now just beginning. Just making the playoffs isn't the goal, here...and I think Mario himself would agree with that

November 1, 2025, is the day that began the evolution of Mario Cristobal and this program.. (at least that's what I hope, lol)

but you can't tell me that SOMETHING didn't change in terms of approach and philosophy. As I stated back in mid-October, there is nothing with this offense that couldn't be fixed THIS season. Certain years, you just have to wait till the off-season, I really believed this wasn't the case for this unit

Going to the more Malachi-centric offense with a dose of Pringle has made a huge difference

Very rare that a team pivots on offensive philosophy in November. Some of it was due to personnel but the other part was all play call mix.
