Agree, didn’t see the intensity at the beginning against the run, saw corners playing off.We could have had more opportunities to score if the defense didn’t allow VT to run it all over them.
Still, a very good game for Beck.
YepSome of you are just miserable.
Stop attending games. You’re clearly the reason why they played horrifically.I was at the game, it was miserable watching this HC try to plod his team through another ACC game. The QB was on fire, the run game went back to one play again with 170lb freshman back up the middle and kept bogging the offense down. Ridiculous penalties again and the defense finally played a bad game. VT is horrible on both sides of the ball.
Facts don’t fit the narrative.I've been critical of Baumann, but that incompletion wasn't his fault. The defender hit his arms before he had control.

TE’s have been underwhelming at best although Lofton seems to be getting a bit more targets. Hopefully, the youngin’s live up to the hype next year.It was a good play by the defender but you can also realize you’re not on the beach with your girlfriend throwing you a Nerf ball. You’re gonna get hit, extend with strong hands and snatch the ball to your body the instant it hits your hands. Roll your back to the defender. Good play by the DB but also soft by Bauman. Two things can be true. Football is a violent, contact sport. Anticipate it.
Probably has something to do with the opponents we played...What ever changes they made to the offense has made a difference..
Great last 2 games.
Probably has something to do with the opponents we played...
Not exactly Ohio ST & Oklahoma Defenses out there.
But this board expects video game numbers against everyone.
And one of those drives the ball was snapped 15 yards over Becks head, drive ender. Another drive we had a pathetic holding call, again drive ender. We only had what, 4 drives the whole second half? We scored on two and had two punts. All VT did was run the football and milk a tone of clock
Oh for sure.. he just looks a lot more comfortable and less hard for him. But your point is a big factorProbably has something to do with the opponents we played...

Yeah I think we had 2 drives longer than 8 minutes. Also didn’t help that Va tech went on 4th down like 10 times that gameIt was a very weird game. We only had 8 offensive possessions, which is crazy low.
But on those 8:
4 Touchdowns
2 field goals
2 punts
34 offensive points on 8 possessions is 4.25 points per drive. Last year, with the best offense we’ve ever seen, we averaged 3.83 points per drive. So, yeah. Not too shabby yesterday.
But we don’t go fast, and we were very efficient but we didn’t have many super quick drives. Pair that with them running for almost 200 yards, you get a very shortened game. But 4.25 a possession is historical for a whole season. We played well on offense. As I said I suspected we would all week because VT is ******* pathetic.
Just don't understand why we went away from Lofton. Seemed to be working earlier in the game. Did VT defense tighten up around middle of the field? Didn't really see them chip Lofton off the lineTE’s have been underwhelming at best although Lofton seems to be getting a bit more targets. Hopefully, the youngin’s live up to the hype next year.
