Props to Beck

VT didn't have 1 possession that was longer than 4 mins so how were they milking the clock? Meanwhile, Miami has 2 TD drives that milked more the 15mins of game clock. Slow plodding Miami milked the clock on themselves and they aren't a disciplined or smart enough team to limit their possessions
This is what needs to change
We
Need to create more possessions v inferior teams
Meathead needs a math class combined with probability to illustrate when you have the horses ……GO FASTER

Huge game for him next week against Pitt. He's been playing as well as anyone in the country the past month, but this is the game where he needs to prove it. Pitt is one of the best takeaway teams in America.
We need WRs to
Beat their coverage
CJ Daniel’s??????

Beck doesn't need to do anything special against Pitt; just has to keep doing what he's been doing lately. Stay on rhythm and take what the defense gives you. Both sides of the ball have an identity now and just need to play with discipline for 60 minutes.

He threw for 300 and 4 tds, what more do you want?
he had a great game, this isn't about Beck. Its about the HC that can't read the room. That game should have been 45-10 at the end of the third quarter with Emory at the Helm and emptying the rest of the bench. Instead, we have Beck throwing a TD on 4th and 2 with 20 seconds left to break 30pts against a team that gives up 33 a game. Mario is ridiculous he is terrible. Why should Beck and Toney been in the game with 20 seconds left? Reason 1, the HC starts Milking the clock from the opening Kick. he is pathetic

This is why most football talk on this board is so unrealistic.
there is a lot of unrealistic talk on this board but what is real is Miami has a HC thats starts milking the clock right at the opening kick against terrible teams. he is afraid of his own shadow. This time of year is like best in show and Mario has his team just plodding around like just winning is good enough. He isn't a good enough coach to have that mind set and its clear since the team gave up another 100yds in penalties against probably the worst VT team they have played in 2 decades but carry on.

This is one of the best games I've seen any QB at Miami have.

27 of 32, 320 yards, 4 TDs and 0 INT. QBR of 95.3

He was 1 bauman drop away from 5 TDs and one more completion.

Yes he threw 1 shaky pass. Still this was Beck at his best.

TVD: 21-30 for 374 5 TDs 0 ints. QBR 95.7 2023.

This is y we believed.

And one of those drives the ball was snapped 15 yards over Becks head, drive ender. Another drive we had a pathetic holding call, again drive ender.
OL had numerous penalties again. All drive killers. That snap was crazy

Please someone get the below memo to Caveman.

Not only do we need to beat Pitt this week, we need to win by 22.

Except this just isn't true. I proved it last week. It's a narrative that gained traction on this board because people are too lazy to actually break down a game. It's easier to just join the mob.

Indiana vs. Wisconsin: Four first-half drives, two resulted in points (10)
Oregon vs. USC: Four first-half drives, three resulted in points (21)
Mississippi vs. Florida: Five first-half drives, four resulted in points (20) with one turnover

Miami vs. Virginia Tech: Four first-half drives, four resulted in points (20)

But yeah, we're trying to run out the clock right from the beginning while everyone else is going - what do we call it - "up tempo".

Let me know if I can provide any more data.

A lot of people forget mario learned from Saban. Check out how many 1 score games bama won under Saban. It was a ton.

I think they adjusted this year after smu. Prior to that we felt 1 score up we will close the game out. That's not enough margin for error in the modern game.
