I still really believe we're in good hands with the coaching staff including Gattis. If the following things happen, we finish with 10-12 wins (including post-season):
I predicted that we'd go 10-2 regular season and that's still my prediction.
That OL of ours is vastly improved! If the D continues to improve and we get at least one WR to consistently make plays, we can beat everybody left on our schedule including Clemson. Not saying we will beat CU - they will probably beat us in Death Valley - but we COULD beat them if we improve in the areas I've laid out.
- Focus more on the TE's. They continue to seem like an after-thought. They need to be the main course, not a side dish. The TE's should be a significant part of the O going forward.
- Make Jacolby the #1 WR. He showed it last year and tonight, that he is THAT GUY. They need to scheme the passing game around him and if other WR's decide to catch the ball, then they can get some occasional tosses, but make #15 the #2 focus of the passing game after the TE's.
- Run the ball more.
- Brashard needs to be the #3 focus of the pass game.
- The D just needs to continue improving. Although we weren't playing against an Offensive colossus, they looked the part...mostly.
- If the secondary can keep playing like that throughout the year, coupled with our DL continuing to improve, we might really have a nice D on our hands.
