9-3 with losses to FSU and Clemson. Then a win in a bowl game.
That is not a good A&M team - and we won’t get any national recognition for anything because of it. The only benefit we get is that it was an away night game in front of 107k fans. For UM fans it was an embarrassing performance but I don't think it's going to be viewed by most of the national media as an embarrassing loss. That TAMU team is the 4th most talented in the country, was playing at home after a shocking loss to a G5, and was angry. Despite shooting ourselves in the foot repeatedly with drops and penalties, UM still had several opportunities to tie the game in the 4th quarter. With our previous coach, we lose this game by 21+. If Restrepo had been healthy, I think we would have won the game.
The pleasant surprise was the defense. I think the O will eventually get it figured out, but if the D can give this type of effort in acc play, we should run through the coastal.
Have y’all not seen the rest of the acc especially the coastal? We definitely still should win it
Get out of here with that fsu shît9-3 with losses to FSU and Clemson. Then a win in a bowl game.
Different defenses. A&M and clemson is by far the best defenses we will play all year. They will be opportunities vs these other teams especially running the ball and getting another explosive back in chaney hopefully.Lol, have you seen our offense? We’re going to keep average teams in games all season long.

This. Best post I’ve seen. I think we resolve the Red Zone issue. Lack of Restrepo showed in the Red Zone. TVD has to show he can improvise. For UM fans it was an embarrassing performance but I don't think it's going to be viewed by most of the national media as an embarrassing loss. They struggle vs unc then some heads need to roll for sure because that defense is terrible. They are giving up almost 40 ppg.We will see. ATM has players, for sure, but fundamentally, this offense is going to struggle even against the UNCs of the world.
He isn’t a pure wr or a natural route runner. The guy was playing qb in hs. He is more of a yac type guy. His speed shows up with the ball in his hands.I don’t see it with brashard man. I feel like I don’t see his speed translate on the field. Maybe he’s fast but not quick enough.
The fins got waddle and reek. It isn't even close to the same thing. If we can spread this ball around more on O , this team has so much potential. I love the bully ball aspects that Mario has brought with him. We dominated the LOS and TOP in a big time SEC road game, but we need to make plays vertically at some point. If we can do that, then this can be a good football team. Steele has this D starting to hum. They looked good last night.
But man, this passing game is sorely lagging behind. Can Gattis link up with the Fins the same way Brady had his guys working with the Saints? Only half kidding. Need more aggressiveness on the offensive side from a coaching and decision making standpoint. With basically their entire DB core out, it was disappointing to see them still playing conservatively. Coaches have a real opportunity here to show us they can adapt and make changes, from Mario to Gattis. If they can't or won't, then this is a problem.
