Pringle is NOT IN THE portal ANYMORE

If he had been playing even minutes snaps that he absolutely earned, would any of that have happened though...
If he plays he likely never even enters the portal or is viewed remotely as a character concern...
My brother, I almost always focus on Xs and Os and plays, but that’s a few levels too toxic. He earned snaps. He got snaps. Then he looked like **** a few times. He should learn a little more about where blitzes come from and what to do with them. Maybe focus on accountability instead of thinking Bigtime college football is like HS where you just cutback and run really fast. Because I watched him look silly multiple times in playoff games. It’d have been messed up if someone had told his parents ‘womppp wompppp’ when he looked a lost child trying to pick up a blitz.

Hate this a lot.

Would love to run more Outside Zone next season and he’s a perfect fit for it.
tbh, with how much success we had running wide zone against IU he should have gotten a couple of carries against them.

It is pretty ridiculous that the kid would transfer just cause he didn't get carries the last two playoff games. Gaby said his understanding (what he has heard, not necessarily that it's true, fwiw) is that had Pringle gotten 3 carries in each of the last two games he wouldn't be in the portal.

I don't get why Dawson completly abandoned the pony sets in the playoff. Not sure we ever saw a run play with Fletcher and Pringle in the same backfield after Fletcher came back from injury. I get that having just 2 WR on the field severely limits the passing game, but let's be honest we were limited af in the passing game with 3 WRs on the field. Also the earth wouldn't have stood still had we tried some 20 sets.

Hope we are able to convince him to come back. Would be a huge loss, and an utter catastrophe if Brown bounces too.

I've been saying for the last three days wtf happened to Pringle in the playoffs. The dude could have been used in the offense in some way. I don't care that he wasn't great in pass protection. You find a way to get good players involved. If the lack of playing time was due to pass protection then this offensive staff is a bunch of morons.

HE'S THE F***ING REASON WE MADE THE PLAYOFFS. The offensive spark was driven by him.

Nobody can spin this any other way than bad. What an absolute s*** show.

And not saying he sucks or anything like that. Just dont think its a good fit. He needs to be at SMU/Missouri type of offense. **** I wish Miami had that type of offense. Spread it out, get people in space. I hate the tight splits of the Oline and worse when we have 3 WRs and everyone is within 8 yards of the ball.

Nah he can fill out to 200 lbs

And you didn't 230 lb backs to be a power running offense. You do it with fast smaller backs as well (although admittedly you probably don't want tiny backs)

What's funny is that Pringle wants to be used like Jahmyr Gibbs, and it's evident cause neither can pass protect for ****

Everyone is great when times are good, its when things get tough that your true character shows.

Lets compare to fletcher.

Has to split time with ****** as Cheney and Allen as a freshman. Openly recruits Martinez and takes a back seat. Doesnt start opening night against ND. Dominates and leads his team to the title game. Fletcher is a leader of men and the heart and soul of the team. The way you hear him speak and rhe way he lifted toney up, when toney was at his worst, was something every father could hope of a son.

Meanwhile, this kid is *****ing he didn't get enough carries when his brother in arms is out there putting on a prolific playoff run. Not happy for him. Pouting and wants to run to another team. He could have eaily been #2 next year with an eye on being the man in yr 3. Hes not the biggest guy, so limiting wear and tear would have been good for him. But here we are.

Mallory is a man child-

Don’t want to lose him-

Fletch, Brown,Mallory and Lyle if he stays-

Add another back in the portal.

Fletcher deserved every single carry he got in the post season. He was a beast and taking carries away from him wouldn't have made sense.

I dont share that opinion. I thought Pringle and Brown should have gotten some of those reps. In the post season games we won, our O line dominated. No telling what would have happened if Pringle would have gotten some of those snaps.

I mean it sucks for depth, but clearly they shortened the rotation and Brown was handling business subbing in for Fletcher. It’s like yall just ignoring what we saw in the playoffs, the running game was humming with them two lol.

Hopefully they can keep Lyle now and he can have a bounce back.
It 100% stings but this is the new CFB world. Mark coming back changes the math and Pringle is too talented to watch another year of football.

If Mark and how we use him is what we saw in the playoffs, we should be in for a monster year.

Which means you get a year to either figure out if Lyle can regain some form or do we need to go big in 26’ in high school/portal for a back

You and I routinely communicate about Xs and Os. Watch the TAMU and OSU games. His head was spinning on blitz pickups. He straight up whiffed an assignment in a critical moment. I’d have benched him, too. I’d have talked to him about what he needed to do to earn back that trust, but seeing how he’s apparently surrounded by people who prefer to burn it all down with a tantrum instead of accepting accountability, I can see where he’s headed nowhere if that continues.

I think he’s ultra talented physically. You think a future NFL team, say the Rams, who are a perfect fit for what he does, is going to trust him if he sulks and puts their QB and game outcomes at risk?

Learn your lesson. Here, there, wherever. I’m not down for people who put themselves above the team when they should be accepting responsibility for mistakes instead. And, during a playoff run? Good luck, kiddo.

From one drive away from winning a National title to "absolute suit show".....wow
