Pringle is NOT IN THE portal ANYMORE

I agree.

I don’t believe the issue is talent, it’s scheme at Alabama.

I’d take two of their guys here right now over every RB Miami has sans Fletcher.

Look at how different Haynes played when we got away from that ****** Pac-12 scheme.
And I’ll be pretty shocked if Crowell isn’t their lead back by the end of this coming season. He’ll be the most talented in that room and I don’t think it’ll be particularly close.

Dude. What a difference a day makes. Yesterday at 8 am the board was excited to have Pringle back and likely scratched their head as to totally not using him, especially after how good we looked in the run to the playoffs. If Kewan Lacy wanted in, we’d hear from the machine, he wasn’t needed and our room was elite and get a lecture on budgets. Today, Pringle is trash. The way of CIS. Fans are butthurt and the spin machine is on.

Part of this is CFB 2026. We cannot expect to not use Marty Brown for a month and have him not field calls for Nebraska. We cannot expect to put Pringle on the shelf for the playoffs and not expect him to field calls and have people in his ear.

To your point, no one is saying sacrifice the game by playing the wrong players, but we'll never know the reality of how the players are communicated with, etc and the consistency thereof. There have been many excusing the first half saying you danced with who brought you there, well Pringle brought us there for the back half of the season and got zero burn, so I understand a head scratch or two by the dude.

Go get another back now and don't be held hostage again by Lyle. Next!
He’s definitely a solid back with a lot of potential and will be missed. He had pretty strong usage the back half of the season as a freshman. Hard to blame the coaches for sticking with the vets in the CFP. Fletcher was unreal and Marty sealed the OSU game. I mean, last year everyone was *****ing because we took Martinez out too much during the Syracuse game.

The “behind the scenes” stuff would be interesting to know. Presumably we tried to re-sign everyone before the playoff run, knowing the portal could be open to our players when we had no chance to replace them. So I think it’s a fair assumption Pringle was “holding out” and probably being tampered with during our playoff run. Then immediately after the game his family trashed the U and he is in the portal with immediate connection to a couple SEC teams. All speculation obviously, but I wouldn’t be going out of my way to get a guy more reps under those circumstances.

Isaac Brown is terrible in pass pro. And no one cares (and no one should)

If a RB makes plays on the field (which is what's really important) then all the pass pro thumpers will conveniently overlook any pass pro shortcomings.

We're about 30 pages deep in this thread with about 100 posts bashing Pringles pass pro.

But funny...not one mention that:

Fletcher allowed a sack vs Ole Miss
Fletcher allowed a sack vs Indiana
Pass blocking is a smoke screen. If DMoney never started that bs it wouldn't pop up.

I love Pringle but he doesn't fit the profile for RB1 at Bama. not sure what the point of this is as he seems to have a place in this offense with a future expanded role.

That @skeeter is a moron that apparently doesn't like me cause he has a vendetta against the use of analytics lol.

Wiley got zero PT. Coaches better develop him to start, and not blow another top recruit from Armwood
You put a lot of effort in producing Calilytics on here. I’m too ADD to follow all the time but I 100% appreciate the work.

You would potentially sacrifice a national championship to prove what point exactly?

So now Pringle held out of the playoffs, yet he and his family are mad because he did not get playing time in the playoffs. And the playoffs were the time we became disciplinarians?

Not seeing it.

I’m not an Xs and Os guy so I’ll defer to you on that. I’m just saying DeBeor is basically going to tell Pringle he will be given every opportunity to start immediately. He won’t have that luxury here.

We should never over pay at running back. You can find a decent athlete to be a running back. Dallas Crawford was decent lol
