Pringle is NOT IN THE portal ANYMORE

You don’t use him the same way as fletcher. The kid is fast and can catch. Put him in space. Get creative. It has nothing to do with fletcher
The Chris Johnson argument from last year.

There's a reason you don't do that. And if you do it, that player has to be off-the-charts good.

Someone like Toney...

Why can’t he be on the field with Toney? Wouldn’t that give the offense a chance to be more explosive? Get creative. Put 2 backs in the backfield. Have fletcher be a lead blocker for him or you can motion him out. You can find ways to use guys. Instead you waste time with bauman out there who nobody is concerned about and he runs a 5.2 40

No, it limits the structure on what you can run. And Pringle isn't an athletic outlier like Hester where it didn't matter.
Get creative.
Starting to hate this sentence with every passing day. Creativity is nice when everyone can do the basic ****. If you can't do the basic ****, don't get creative.

You can find ways to use guys.
Yeah, you can - by having them to learn basic fundamentals that enable them to play more.

Y'all act as if there is no reason for Pringle not to play. I can run end arounds or reverses with multiple players on this team not named Pringle and they can still execute the fundamentals well enough to run a regular play instead of the trick play.

Pringle will have to learn how to pass protect anyway. If you believe he transfers out because he doesn't get 5-6 snaps a game based on trick or gadget plays solely designed for him, **** no. He's leaving because he was promised a bigger role somewhere else - and he'll find out that he'll have to learn the fundamentals of his position regardless of where he's at.

Trader is athletically more gifted than almost all of the receivers on this roster. I don't see anyone in here trying to force him the ball on specific plays. I wonder why that's the case...

Put it this way. Bench Fletcher and start Pringle for the entire playoffs run and see the difference. You are not getting the same production.
The argument for Fletcher over Pringle does not have to be this exaggerated.

Why can’t a back like Pringle be schemed open who has shown to have some extra juice in the open field..you can argue the pass protection tell, but that’s an easy excuse IMO.

Because schematically, there's not much that Pringle can do if his sole use is on a gadget.

And the inability to pass protect is not an excuse. All plays with PA, all true dropback passing sets, every 3rd and 6+, Pringle becomes unusable because his blocking is absolutely a gamewrecker. And that's a gigantic portion of the plays. Not to mention the downs where he is in the backfield that the defense can signal "run" because he's in the backfield.

Pringle isn't transferring because he doesn't get the ball on gadget snaps. He's transferring because someone offered him a lead role. He'll find out that empty promises do exist.

Pringle not playing in the playoffs due to pass protection issues is the correct move by the staff

He is also a freshman kid, another off season in the strength and conditioning program and more coaching and he could have been developed there and would have gotten alot of snaps with fletch

Thats why him leaving is such a short sighted and instant gratification move.

People are here trying to make Pringle like he’s Reggie bush or even Jamal Charles with special packages. He’s good RB with speed and some wiggle but limited because he can’t pass pro (at least this past year) and seems to go down pretty easily.

Regardless of where he ends up, they'll tell him to add weight and learn how to pass protect.

He'll find that out. But we're not winning less game because of Pringle transferring.

It’s hard for 5 star type players to stack up at positions, it’s hard to pine for years to play.

It’s always a mystery why a 5 star players will go to a team already stacked knowing they will pine basically for 3 years before starting.

Imagine 3 Fletcher type RB someone’s not going to pine for (3) years to get PT .

Pringle is a starting RB , good for him

So if we didn’t make the playoffs, he stays? Unbelievable. Played plenty as a freshman and would be the clear number 2 next year, and number 1 his junior year.
