Bama scheduling us week 1 is probably one of the dumber things they've done in recent years. Theres maybe 3-5 teams in the country that can match up with them athlete to athlete. Theres maybe 3-5 teams in the country that can look across the LOS & say I played vs that guy/beat that guy before. We check both boxes. You think our guys are going to be intimidated by Josh Jobe? We're gonna be ready.

Clemson provided the blueprint last year. Play press man on the outside, and make the receivers win in a phone booth. We had nobody who could do it. Pitt played us the same way. UNC played us the same way. Think Saban watched those games? We MUST find a kid who can make DC’s pay for leaving corners on islands. We literally played 9 on 9 last year. That’s how DCs treated this offense after Clemson. My 2 boundary corners vaporize your outside receivers. Let’s play between the numbers. And we struggled with it. And guess what? King is going to go the right place with the ball 98% of the time. And when defenses play us that way, the right place is vertical on the outside. It’d open up so much for us if we have a kid or god forbid two who can win out there down the field. ****, draw a PI. Just don’t fall down or drop the ball.

This and also open up the run game as well.

If there was ever a time to play Bama early, it's this season.

And I like this UM team...

Having Athletes hasnt been our problem. Scheme, discipline and execution have been our downfall.

Yeah I think over time we sort of lost focus on what elite players actually look like. The ones that just stand out when they step on the field

i think we’ve tried to make a lot of previous players into that in our heads and that’s why those same players get **** on eventually

we have a couple of them in this class I think

Lol we are not the 3 teams who can match bama talent wise. We would need to be consistently in the top 5 of recruiting to do that. We have a lot of talented youth and a lot of veterans but if you think the lbs we have now will shed the blocks on inside runs you‘re high af. If we can’t stop the inside run, they will just run the ball and control time of possession. Only chance we have is if we score 35+ points and king plays the way he did pre acl tear.

to say we match up talent wise is true in a few positions but they have more talent depth wise to wear our defense out if we can’t stop the run. They are talented at every position 3 deep.

Ohio state is the only team that checks that box. Not even Clemson ugay and lsu imo however they are probably the closest

This class might very well change our WR room in one cycle.
