PractiSe Day #2

The mental incompetence in this thread is oh so similar to the “Kosi da gawd” stupidity before he had even set foot on campus.

The fact is, there just isn’t enough information to say anybody is going to be the clear number two at this point.

You can only go by probabilities based on historical performances of quarterbacks in college. Again, those are only probabilities, and not certain to predict the future.

When going by that, then Garcia has the lowest probability to end up being number two behind King - and either TVD or Matocha have the higher probability of ending up being number two behind King.

Historically, true freshman quarterbacks do not perform at a high-level, in their true freshman year, and rarely do they even get the chance. Experience always counts, even when the youth has tremendous talent.

Look at Spencer Rattler‘s first year in Oklahoma. They actively sought an experienced quarterback, knowing that a true freshman quarterback starting for you is a huge risk. Even one who has a potential to win a Heisman like Rattler (as he has proven in 2020).

And of course all the above, where I talk about number twos, assumes that King will be fully recovered, which is not a given.

In closing, how about a little critical thinking skills people. Where you use actual historical data to make your predictions more realistic, rather than the flights of fancy based on minuscule bits of information that we’re getting here.

How do you know this? Based on what?
Based on pure conjecture. He’s playing the odds because that’s what the great majority of college QBs who aren’t superstars struggle with.

If Van ******* is like 80% of college QBs that’s what he’ll struggle with, and Glades will declare himself a seer and soothsayer and the gloids on here will start the hero worship process.

Good point. But then that means that Garcia will struggle even more reading defenses because he has even less experience. My entire point as stated above, is that there is such little information available, yet people are making absolute conclusions based on incredibly small bits information - either positive or negative for any of the quarterbacks. To put it bluntly, that’s dumb as fūck. Anything can happen of course, but we just don’t know at this point.

ALL we know today is, how a healthy King performs. We know his strengths, and we know the areas that require improvement. We have plenty of data that where we can make a more accurate projection of his performance, assuming he’s healthy of course.

we def going to see if that 15-0 is legit..........im not expecting that and im ok with a good record and good showings vs UNC at least. We shouldnt get blown out by anyone not named Bama or Clemson.

we shouldn’t get blown out by Bama or Clemson either definitely not both in the same year. If that’s a given then getting blown out again by UNC is also a given and this will be Manny’s last season as HC.

I’m not saying it’s an experience thing; I’m saying it’s a typical problem for the vast majority of college QBs. There are plenty of experienced QBs who struggle with the same stuff.

Excelling in shorts versus excelling during games are two completely different worlds which is why there are a ton of highly recruited QBs but only a tiny handful of elite QBs on the field.

TVD was a 3 star who got a bump to 4 star when signing with UM Garcia was a 5 star who was lowered to 4 star due to all the transfer mess. When Garcia went to Georgia with two different HS teams he blew all the coaches and players away. TVD got only 2 minutes of playing time all year and looked bad.
What difference does it make what their ‘stars’ were? Kyle Wright was a 5*. How’d that work out for us?

If that ain’t the mopiest hot take ever, don’t know what is.
It could be sold as a slurp though to the 15-0 boys:

“As great of a job as Lashlee did, bringing Garcia in, we are so jacked in the QB room with jacked up coaches, that it’s possible that we are so good that even the highest rated kids will be challenged for playing time here - some may even transfer out and never even play here - no differently from Bama and some of the other top schools we find ourselves edging closer to, and even surpassing in some areas, thanks to Manny’s excellence.”

You had me right up until the end of your porst, troll.

Dude is dying on the TVD sucks hill.

Respect for sticking with it, regardless of how preposterous his reasoning.
