Well my wife is a yank from Georgia and I have yet to taste any from her people that come close. But I'm always open to be proven wrong.

Hard to find Good Soul Food Restaurants in Miami, like it was 15 to 20 years ago everything closing, next time you are in Atlanta you ask around for the best Soul Food Spots. Esther's In Liberty City use to put it down Back in the Day, they still do cook but not as good as the past. I have a friend that takes me to these Church Women who use to cook out of a Warehouse only on weekends and they can cook some meat some of the best OX TAILS and Barbecue Turkey Wings I ever tasted. Also had an Aunt that use to cook them in a Crock Pot and Meat falls off the bone. Don't get me wrong I have had them at Jamaican Spots and they are good.

If you want some mediocre oxtails then you let Cubans cook it. Jamaicans have the oxtail game on lock. All my Cuban coworkers even know this.
Jerk Hut in Tampa do some decent oxtails, but mine better according to all my soul food experts. My friends will each buy a pack of oxtails for me to cook a big batch, not those tiny ones they sell in Jamaican restaurants.

This practise thread is....weird to say the least. Carry on.

Comradery will have you talking about anything.

Conch Heaven is my favorite restaurant. I know they have one in Miami, one in Plantation, and two in Atlanta.

It’s Bahamian but it’s soul food. And it’s hard to mess up conch.

Their oxtails have a good reputation but I don’t eat em. I go for the conch or the snapper and a gully wash or a kalik gold.

Edit: FYI, only the one in Miami sells adult drinks. It’s across the street from MDC North.

I said I don’t know what happened. Maybe that’s what happened. I really didn’t expect them to pay for my shoes either. I thought a meal or even a desert would have been appropriate. I don’t expect to pay money to sit in a filthy establishment either.
This dude rubbing motor oil on his shoes trying to hustle Joe Flannigan for a free green cup. If it’s that tough, brother, hit me up via DM, and I’ll send you a $10 prepaid Visa.

I gotta agree with you man...gotta be a clean floor and a decently clean bathroom. My ADD kicks in and i'm feeling funny if it's not.
Look....CaneinOrlando will leave a restaurant if he sees an unclean bathroom or dining area...Being a Culinary Grad & Chef since 82 immediately makes me wonder what the kitchen looks like...I've always been anal in ref to clean restaurants...and I'm equally anal at home.

I’ll be in South Florida all next week. I’ll be easy to find, there will be a trail of bones, seafood shells and ceviche drips;
Possibly a few raggedy mango seeds.

I have to find out if those Church ladies still cooking out of the Warehouse on the weekends, that food was good, and let you all try it out. I had never had Barbecued Turkey Wings, they were tight. Do you all check out Chef Creole at all?

Since you like Conch, if in South Part of Miami Check out Conch Master Danny, for excellent Fried Conch Friday and Saturday Nights.

lol he reads this board. hes trying to be objective
His love affair for Jarren is quite obvious, but he was actually critical of Jarren today, which is the first time that I've seen him be critical towards Williams (admittedly, I don't follow Gag-gy's work). Below are some highlights of an article that he posted today. I also included the link as well, for those who may be interested...

• "We Saw all the competing quarterbacks (Tate Martell, N’Kosi Perry, and Jarren Williams) get fairly equal reps, with Perry and Williams seemingly taking more than Martell for the second day in a row."

• "Today, it felt like Perry had the best day during the media viewing period. He was on time and on target with his throws. One particular throw that stood out to be was a pass to the back of the end zone that Larry Hodges was able to bring in by the tip of his fingers."

• "Jarren had flashes today, but struggled with his accuracy at times. He threw one pass that was completely behind RB Robert Burns. It was hard to tell if Burns ran the wrong route or if Williams just missed him."

• "Martell looked up and down today as well. He looks good at some points, but then he misses wide open receivers. It’s really tough to evaluate him, as I have mentioned beforehand. He did hit his high school teammate TE Brevin Jordan on a wheel route today, but not before both tight ends motioned to the right side of the line and Jeremiah Payton came on a fake sweep."
