I know there are no DL in this drill but did anybody see any of these guys shoot their gaps? Maybe this is just their version of the drill but I wouldn't have them reading and reacting if I am looking for these guys to become accustom to playing behind the line of scrimmage.

Yearby looks out of shape man

Man, looks like Yearby has had one too many ice cream sandwhiches.

Or he could be breathing hard (other guys in the pic look gassed) and the pic caught him during an inhale.

Yep. That's it. That's what I tell the chicks when they ask why I look so fat. I tell them they always look at me during an inhale.

shid made me laugh aloud.... :topsy_turvy:

Its just a basic 3 on 3 man on man drill. If you noticed they had #32 (Gray) lined up as an OL and a LB lined up as a RB on the first video. It's basically a, "Who can beat whose ***" drill. No scheme involved, just blocking and tackling. Line up right across from that guy and defeat him. Relax, man. We will NOT be reading and reacting. Diaz will release these dudes, and let them hunt!

My god our local media is trash

An AP reporter caught up with Offensive Linemen Sluggerd Juddson to get his take on Spring Practices.

How is the weather?

SJ: Man, it's hotter than a Pepper Jack Rabbit.

Are you guys picking up Coach Richt's system?

SJ: Yep, Yep.

How are the early enrollees doing?

SJ: Them yunggins hungry....like whipper snappers.

What is it like facing the new the defensive scheme?

SJ: Well, I tell you one thing. A ****ed off hog gon holler loud.

Is the O. Line staring to come together?

Like a mayonnaise and cheese sammage.

Thanks, Sluggerd.

SJ: Alright there now.

Leave **** like this to whatthehell and franchise

Nah. Dudes bringing the effort. If we can't get any actual coverage of spring practice at least we can read that.

No doubt. I had to do a double take when I first saw it. I was like WTF...

I remember Malik Rosier saying that Brad would get all the reps with the 1's and then he and the others would rotate who would get the first reps with the 2's. One day he would and the next it would be Evan, etc.

Maybe the other coaches are doing the same thing with the D-Line. So today the rotation was what RJ McIntosh said. But yesterday it might have been different. Who knows I want it to be football season already!

I've never seen so much hate for a returning 1,000 yard back. Wtf? I don't need a burner. Y'all are obsessed with that because you can't stop comparing him to Cook. He's not Cook. He is someone that can fit through holes and pick up hidden yardage. He's also someone that can catch out of the backfield and make people miss in space. I'm not getting the hate here.

There's a huge difference between "hate" and thinking that a guy could be a lot more effective at a lighter weight. Stop being dramatic.

Chad Thomas was a 3-4 DE last year and he's not listed at DT this year.
that is because he is gonna play s de. in the 4-3 with quan , mike smith demitrius Jackson being the wde or edge rusher in the 4-3 McIntosh is moving from a 3-4 de to a 4-3 dt, he will probably be the under tackle who plays over a guard while Norton is the nt in the 4-3 and plays over center.

its like the 3-4 spot that kamula played some 3-4 de;s are just defacto tackles but not all.

effective at a lighter weight really? gaining weight at rb is all about being able to take the pounding. the top backs are usually 215 or above in nfl the under guys are 3rd down specialists. he wants to be an everydown back. as long as he doesn't lose his quickness not speed quickness and his hops he will be fine.

There's plenty of great backs at 185-200 weight. It's all about what your body and frame can carry without taking away explosion / speed . Yearby should never be over 205. Ever .

Brian Westbrook , Barry Sanders, Warrick Dunn and many other good NFL back were in the high 190's , low 200's. Let's not act like you need to be 215
