Herbert couldn’t win a spot over Zion who was a true freshman and gained 60 pounds in a half of a year. Writing off Zion but wanting to see what Herbert can do seems counterintuitive, especially given their respective traits.

Agree .. can't seriously evaluate a true freshman OL .. especially just converted from a TE in high school and putting on 40 pounds that season. Should have been a red shirt for sure. OL really start to blossom as Juniors. Supposedly did really well in the off season with S&C .. let's see what he can do with some coaching.

In regards to who's replacing who on the offensive line, we have to remember we're implementing a completely different offense this year. Guys who might have been better suited for Enos' **** bucket offense might not be the best guys in Lashlee's Formula One race car of an offense. Garin Justice had a ton of success with his lines at FAU running Kendall Briles' spread offense. He's probably looking for a lot of the same characteristics to run Lashlee's offense.

This has been a pretty uneventful practice thread. Just a lot of the usual suspects ****ting on Zion for some reason. Everybody else gets a fresh start with the new offensive staff except Zion I guess, because all I’m seeing about him is criticism based on his true freshman season.
