Practice #3

I want all our QBs to ball out..hope Enos has most difficult decision of career. Reality is one will separate. I don’t care, as long as they play superb and lead. With Martels skill set, would be surprised, even if he didn’t win the job, that he had some packages. Regardless of whether he starts, he is a unique skill set.

Perry and Rosier got obliterated by the CIS masses during the first few spring practices last year because the early reports indicated they were still inaccurate, even though it was early in the spring.

Fast forward, we are hearing identical reports about Martell, but those very same N'kosi critics are giving Martell a pass, because they have already come to the conclusion, in their own head, that Martell is the second coming of Drew Brees. Unbelievable!

I like Martell a lot, as I do the other two QB's who are battling to be the starter. I just find it strangely ironic how the accuracy reports about 2019 Martell are almost identical to 2018 Perry/Rosier but the reception of the reports are completely different!

All 3 QB's are learning this new offense at the same time, but William's and Perry, according to almost every report that we've seen, are progressing much better in the system than Martell. Yet, the Martell apologists find ways to make up excuses. There is no doubt in my mind that Martell is going to thrive at Miami, but I can't help but laugh at the irony of it all!

You’re talking too loud bruh. They won’t like to hear the facts lol

Part of it is that Martell has actually been accurate in live game action at Ohio State. Last year, Perry hadn't played in any games yet and Rosier had already proven to be an inaccurate QB in 2017.
One game, against Rutgers? Really?

Look, I don't want to come across as a Martell hater.....It's actually the complete opposite. I really like him and think that he is a tremendous asset to our QB room as well as the team overall. The point of my original post was regarding the irony of two similar situations being received in completely different ways.

Just watch the passes Tate is throwing on twitter. The slants are all low and away and not much zip.

having been there myself, if it's the same inconsistency, then I will say it's either:

(1) a sore/bad shoulder/trapezius which can cause you to push down the nose of the ball
(2) his stride is a bit off, which can cause the same thing.

It's not like he's spraying the ball all around the yard. I'd let this one play itself out

Tate is more a gamer.

I told people he doesn’t have the physical throwing tools that Perry or Jarren have nor the size.

What he does better than those two are play on the run or move.

Enos asks his QB to throw on the run so that is where Martell can excel. Also he can perform when the pocket breaks down better than Perry or Williams.

In a pure throwing exhibition Martell is the worst of the group, but QB is not played just on throwing an out route from the pocket...especially with Miami’s OL.
But many said Tate was so good ... he didn't even need an OL.

Where is this hoodie from? Can the common folk get it?
