This thread is not about coaching, I repeat not about coaching

There is some serious talent in the potential two deep. This team has a long way to go to become a championship level team, but in my opinion there is enough talent on this team to make it to the ACC championship.

Offense 1st team
QB D'Eriq King RSR (Former 3 star, 2018 AAC Offensive player of the year)
HB Cam'Ron Harris JR (Former 4 star with starting experience)
WR Dee Wiggins JR (Former 3 star, returning starter)
WR Mark Pope JR (Former 4 star)
SLOT Mike Harley SR (Former 4 star, returning starter)
TE Brevin Jordan (Former 4 star, returning starter, 2019 First Team All ACC )
LT ??? (This staff needs to use that last available scholarship to bring in a grad transfer LT)
LG Navaughn Donaldson SR (Former 4 star, returning starter, 2017 Freshman All-American)
C Corey Gaynor RJR (Former 3 star, returning starter)
RG Jakai Clark SO (Former 3 star, returning starter)
RT DJ Scaife JR (Former 4 star, returning starter)

Offense 2nd Team
QB N'Kosi Perry RJR (Former 4 star with starting experience)
HB Jaylan Knighton FR (Former 4 star)
WR Michael Redding III FR (Former 4 star)
WR Jeremiah Payton RFR (Former 4 star)
SLOT Xavier Restrepo FR (Former 3 star)
TE Will Mallory (Former 4 star with starting experience)
LT Zion Nelson SO (Former 3 star with starting experience)
LG John Campbell RSO (Former 3 star with starting experience)
C Ousman Traore RSO (Former 3 star)
RG Cleveland Reed RSO (Former 3 star)
RT Jalen Rivers FR (Former 4 star)

Defense 1st team
SDE Gregory Rousseau RSO (Former 4 star, returning starter, 2019 All-American)
DT Jonathan Ford SR (Former 3 star, returning starter)
DT Nesta Silvera JR (Former 4 star)
WDE Quincy Roche RSR (Former 3 star, 2019 AAC Defensive player of the year)
WILL Zach McCloud RSR (Former 4 star with starting experience)
MLB Sam Brooks SO (Former 3 star with starting experience)
STR Amari Carter SR (Former 3 star with starting experience)
CB Al Blades JR (Former 4 star with starting experience)
CB DJ Ivey JR (Former 4 star, returning starter)
SS Gurvan Hall JR (Former 4 star, returning starter)
FS Bubba Bolden RJR (Former 4 star with starting experience)

Defense 2nd team
SDE Jahfari Harvey RFR (Former 4 star)
DT Jordan Miller RSO (Former 3 star)
DT Jason Blissett RFR (Former 4 star)
WDE Jaelan Phillips RJR (Former 5 star)
WILL Avery Huff RFR (Former 4 star)
MLB Patrick Joyner (Former 3 star)
STR Gilbert Frierson RSO (Former 4 star)
CB Christian Williams SO (Former 4 star)

Do you think this is enough talent to make it to the ACC Championship game and actually be competitive?

Why does Carter all of a sudden supplant Frierson at Striker? Bolden and Hall will start at S with Carter as 2nd team.

Looks good on paper but too many unknowns and missing some key pieces

POSITIVES:

-Love what we're doing with LB's, going back to smaller, faster guys. That's huge.
-DE's, obviously
-Finally have a QB

NEGATIVES/Until proven otherwise:

-No elite receivers
-Very young at RB
-No reliable QB2
-No dominant DT
-Mallory has the worst hands on the team
-Scary thin at CB
-OL is a massive liability until we see they're not

There's enough talent on paper but we're still very, very young across the board. Three seniors starting on O and four on D, both with a grad transfer. Fortunately a lot of these guys have burn, but it was on a bad team. We should be better and win the coastal this year, but my high school team should win the coastal.

I think we're three years away. King is gone after this year and we don't have the OL to be truly elite. The next year we're looking at either Perry or a RFr/Soph TVD, which is not reassuring. The OL is still a couple years from having the depth and development it needs.

That.

Or ‘No one does less w/ more- UM Football’

LMAO at that...

Florida
Georgia
USC
Notre Dame
Penn State
UCLA
Texas A&M
Michigan

All have far, far more resources than Miami, most also in great recruiting territory, and have done far less in modern history. Florida and Georgia especially are probably the two most under-achieving programs in the country.

Do you believe the offensive guys have the natural talent to perform better in this new system?

Goodness, could you imagine if Miami had Texas A&M financial resources and/or Georgia's committment to football.

Florida is what baffles me. Third biggest state by population, dead center of the best recruiting territory in America, started football before Miami and FSU, one of the largest athletic department budgets in America.

Never posted an undefeated season, last of the big three to win a ring, took 57 years to win the SEC, as many guys in the Hall as Compton Junior College.

Zion in this new uptempo spread offense might take a huge leap forward on top of another year of S&C

And L-O-L and penciling In fat boy Donaldson as a starter... kid needs to take a shirt.. get on a diet and find some kind of chip to **** himself off.... kid is way to soft mentally and physically at the point of attack
