Seriously, get outta my face with this. Politics aside, Tuberville has the mental acuity of a hamster whose mother drank during during the pregnancy. And Manchin?! He's effing Sabag's bestie back in Wild and Wonderfully Inbred West Virginia.

Might as well just let Sankey draft the legislation with input from Finebaum's callers.

Let's see if this gets any traction (and I reserve the right to amend my opinion if we get an invite from that godforsaken conference- not that we still wouldn't be targeted in a new law) but THIS is precisely the type of area where the B1G has been asleep at the wheel in the past. You simply cannot let two SEC shills craft legislation for the entire sport as you're busy playing footsie with Notre Dame and "focused" on academics.

Tubs was part of 3 Natty's here. He's good with me.
If you think that translates to ANY current allegiance to Miami over the State of Alabamy and the SEC at-large then we probably don't have much to discuss here. Not that additional proof is actually needed but Manchin being his partner here is all you really need to know too.

Pleated pants tells me everything I need to know.

I'm curious how they think they're going to "fix" things. Unless you can somehow get every athlete to join a player's union and negotiate a collective bargaining agreement, it's going to be tough to tell private citizens they can't pay other private citizens for legal work.

So a senator who has trouble stringing together two coherent sentences is going to lead a NIL legislation drafting. Right.
And in this case I am not referring to the Senator from West Virginia. Wait and let Herschel help.

Senator Chris Murphy

ESPN: The NCAA has begged Congress to step in on NIL legislation, and there are some real concerns with consumer protections and supporting athletes in the space. Do you think Congress should act?

Murphy: For the first time, players are being empowered, and that scares the **** out of the college football industry. What college football is asking Congress to do is to take rights away from players and to give those rights back to the schools or to the NCAA. I'm not interested in that. I get that there's risk of an uneven playing field, but you can solve that by creating a broad, national, unfettered right for players to access name, image and likeness payments.

Tommy Tubberville is considered a clown by almost everyone who resides outside the state of Alabama (and many in Alabama as well), and most certainly to in D.C. If you think he has any sway to get a bill turned into law, you must reside in the state of Alabama.

Not to mention that the Dems accurately see this entire matter as an opportunity to be in the side of the players. Not that I believe either party gives 2 ***** about this issue, but that is my point. No one cares, no one respects Tubberville, and this issue will never make it out of a committee, much less reach a vote in the Senate.

I am not trying to make this a political issue between the parties as they are all disingenuous, but Tubberville ain’t getting a **** thing done.

Not everyone from the state of Alabama is stupid. He's a clown to many of us. I'd say he fits the mold of today's politicians.

I agree with you. Not everyone in Alabama voted for him so in no way was my comment meant to be a statement about all the people living in Alabama. it was meant to be about his perception outside of the Alabama And why he has no influence in getting laws passed. If the comment came off otherwise I apologize as that was not the intent.

It's all good man. I respect what you bring to board.

The Finbaums callers comment🤣. I had never watched his show till today. Watched for 20 mins he took 2 rambling old southern dudes calls that each took nearly 10 mins and made no sense. That comment now cracks me up and it wouldnt have yesterday. I only stayed on because he said they were talking expansion at 415pm. I made it till about 403pm and had to change it. Seriously the dumbest and most stuck in the 60s callers i have ever heard. Whats funny is even Finebaum looked like he couldnt believe he had to sit through the calls they were so bad
