Are you more concerned with WR this year than you were with any position group prior to last year?
Last year we were relying on a true freshman, transfer at safety, the development of another true freshman at safety, and health of a thin group overall for our DBs.
WR is also my biggest concern this season, but much less so than with DB and LB from last year and that gives me confidence overall.
Miami has more than enough depth and experience to be a very solid receiver core this season. There are a total of 10 receivers on the roster and 6 of them have logged P5 college stats. There is a good mix of experienced 5th year vets, paired with the young blue chip talent.
Miami has the second most returning snaps played and production in the ACC.
- CJ Daniels RSR, 2,257 snaps, 148 catches, 2,439 receiving yards, 21 touchdowns
- Keelan Marion 7th year SR, 76 catches, 1,517 snaps, 1,125 receiving yards, 7 touchdowns
- Tony Johnson RSR, 1,491 snaps, 108 catches, 1,118 receiving yards, 13 touchdowns
- Ray Ray Joseph JR, NA snaps, 6 catches, 74 receiving yards, 0 touchdown
- JoJo Trader SO, 6 catches, 99 snaps, 91 receiving yards, 1 touchdown
- Ny Carr RFR, NA snaps, 1 catch, 8 receiving yards, 0 touchdown
Don’t let these lazy takes fool you, there are not many teams in the nation returning this amount of experience and production.

Based off of these players latest rankings (high school and portal) Miami has 9, 4star receivers and only 1, 3star. I believe giving that amount of talent paired with a great teacher in KG, a receiver friendly system (X and JG were two of the leading receivers in the ACC in their first year in Dawsons offense, with TVD at QB, it’s safe to say this system is designed for receivers to eat). They also have an extremely accurate QB throwing to them, Beck is 71% accurate when throwing from a clean pocket.
