Possible Orange Bowl match up with the gaytes.

A lot will depend on what happens with Clemson vs Notre Dame 2.

If Clemson wins they'll move ND to 4 & Clemson to 2, but the top 4 will remain the same.
If ND beats Clemson again, then TAMU & UF will move up, until UF loses to Bama then they'll move back down.

TAMU only makes the CFP if Clemson loses to ND.

A 2 loss UF team will play either the winner of the Big XII (presumably Okla) or a 2 loss Clemson team (IF Clem loses).
IF Clemson wins the committee will give UF either Oklahoma or Cincinnati.

If #2 loses to #4, I don't quite get how #2 moves to #4 and stays in the playoff picture. Logically that means #2 was not as good as #4, so they should be below #4. If you compare the two - ND would have 1 loss to the #4 very late in the season, TAMU has one loss to the #1 early in the season. TAMU also played a significantly more difficult schedule. Also ND sucks so they should be left out on principle.

My understanding is that the highest ranked ACC team goes to the OB. If Clemson loses to ND (which they won't), then they will have 2 losses and fewer wins than Miami. Miami will be ranked above them and go to the OB.

Also, I was of the opinion that we needed a solid, but ultimately beatable foe in our bowl game, however, I'm kind of drinking the O&G coolaid lately. With the way we've improved on both sides of the ball (kick return game excluded), I actually think we can beat the gayturds. I didn't want to play them a month ago, but I don't know. Kinda' feeling good about that matchup...

Our DE's are actually playing now, like I thought they would be playing all season. The secondary is improving. Flagg is back on the field to call plays for the D. King is striding. We have both NFL TE's back in the lineup. Lashlee keeps improving week after week. Navaughn light bulb seems to have gone off, which brings us that piece we were missing on the OL, and especially in the run game.

I dunno... I didn't want to lose again, but if we get to 10 wins before our bowl game...I say bring on the Turds!! Whenever our teams are remotely even, and I'd say right now, they're actually pretty close, we usually have the juice to win. They normally only win when they are expected to beat us. So...yeah... Let's beat the Heels and the Bumblebees and then let the chips fall where they may in the OB against the Turds. I say we beat 'em!

Of course, if UNC beats us, I reserve the right to completely, totally and irrevocably retract this opinion!!!

Because you're not factoring in how the committee does business.

They're going to put the top 4 that sells the best storyline for the playoffs, it's about ratings, not logic.

If ND loses they're not dropping them out of the CFP, ND may suck to Miami fans, but to the committee they don't suck & they'll put them at 4 to have them play Bama & have Clemson play OH St in a rematch.

The only scenario in which TAMU makes it in is if Clemson loses again.

The committee doesn't look at it like fans, they want the best matchups for TV, TAMU isn't as exciting in terms of storyline, therefore their road to get to the CFP will be more difficult because the committee buys high on ND's legacy & prestige as a National brand. NOT SAYING I AGREE WITH IT OR THAT's MY OPINION, I'm saying that's how the COMMITTEE looks at it.

They want to keep their top 4 in tact & if Clemson wins they wil.

Totally agree! Domers are in regardless and so is Bama.

I know, I wasn't talking about the Orange Bowl, if you check page 1 I already said I think Miami gets TAMU in the Orange Bowl.

I was talking about the matchups that will happen based on the scenario of the Clem v ND 2 game & how a 2 loss UF team will either get the winner of the Big XII, Cincinnati or a 2 loss Clemson if they lose to ND, not us in the OB.

TAMU. Hmmm, that's an interesting matchup. Us against the fightin' Jimbo's, just like old times.

Can we send Nkosi to make some videos of him and Candy Fisher before the game? Then on the Jumbotron we can play this on a loop.

Sorry. I can't see past the UNC game (yet)!!!!
As a cane fan , we can’t overlook anybody , one game it’s coming down to the wire and the next game we blowing a team out , you never know with this team lol

I really feel Clemson is going to blow notre dame out the second time round and the committee is going to get their wish to put a second sec team in the playoffs

Ehhh, they would have to get curbstomped like 56-3 or something. ND will lose by 2 scores, but they're not losing anywhere bad enough to warrant keeping them out. ND is in regardless. I think we get our wish and will have 2 ACC teams in the playoffs this go round.

Man, why does everyone keep saying we can't look past games. I'm drinking a beer on the porch, if that affects the UNC game we are screwed.

For the OB match up, it'll be interesting to see where the teams fall. If Clemson loses again, they should be below us. Assuming all the usual business happens, AM would have the highest ranking, but in a covid world I wonder if UF keeps the OB and AM gets the cotton bowl. What's the sense in having the two teams travel to the opposite state when travel is abnormal this year.

Also, this talk of we always gotta play the best comes from the kiddos who get all excited each time we lose. If it's a major bowl, I want to win, period. Better to beat a cincy or Iowa state than lose to a AM or UF (not saying any of this is given you get the point) . Tough talk aside, it's the best play moving forward and building for UM

Would love to give those ****sticks the beat down of a lifetime but let’s just focus on beating NC and then GT first.

As much as I hate ND - it would be a disaster to put Texas A&M with 1 loss over a 1 loss ND that played for their conference championship. They've already taken it up the *** from Alabama once. Who wants to see that again? At least give them new blood in ND

A&M has limped past 5 bad teams (Vandy, Miss State, LSU, Auburn, and Arkansas)

If they want to put A&M in over OSU.. that's another conversation that I could get behind
Notre dames a way better team than texas a&m. They have no wrs but they're running games good. Jimbo's got them playing like the old days. Averaging like 60-65 plays a game. The front sevens good though
