Possible Gator game date change

It wouldn't hurt me since im not able to go but I agree for others planning it its ****ed up for them and I feel for y'all if this happens

Well I guess you have the same number of practices either way. And if you start a week early that’s like six or seven days at the most.

So while having the same number of practices, those “extra” 6 or 7 days would be spread out/deducted through the entire season. And not only that, but if there is a two week lag between Florida and North Carolina, at least two or three “rest” days in there will take up some of those days.

I think it’s going to be a horrible inconvenience to some people, and that’s the worst part I can think of, but I do like the idea of two weeks prep for a North Carolina away game.

For the sake of people coming from great distances, or out of state, I wish there would’ve been a heads up.

Agreed. I would imagine that it will be toughest for anyone who books a room or house through AirBnB.

When all of the ticket-sale ****e was swirling around, I just kept thinking about how this would make it even easier for UF fans to buy more tickets on the secondary market (due to UM ticketholders not being able to go on the earlier weekend).

The timing of all this stuff couldn't possibly be more ridiculous.

PS, very high certainty that the Spring Game will be in Orlando.

UM and UF are the parties that have petitioned the NCAA. FCS wants it too. ESPN can't do this, they are merely our TV carrier. Yes, they are tossing in GameDay as an incentive, but I assure you that UM, UF, and FCS wanted this. We are not merely "agreeable" dupes.

Sounds like they're asking the NCAA for some type of waiver. I'd assume that's the only way either school would agree to moving the game

Not how it works. Once you buy tickets the fees are there. This is 1000 for me. All they had to do was tell people it’s a possibility. Then you could buy game tickets but wait on airplane side

Or they could have waited to go on sale.

its like people dont fly on this website. you get 24 hours to make your changes on flights then fees go into effect unless you book a refundable fare or fly SW which gives you free changes

UM has had issues with honesty it seems regarding this entire game and spring game. just be up front and hold off on sales. it isnt hard. i know they changed the date of the LSU game but they moved it a day. this is moving it another weekend
 
The one thing that I don’t like is that if we lose...we’re sitting with a rotten taste in our mouths for two weeks to a team I despise more than anything

Yep I’m looking for tickets! Wasn’t gonna be able to make August 30th weekend, but can definitely make August 24!

Usually standard fee to modify the booking applies + the difference in price re: new vs old ticket with the airline if applicable. Unfortunately, the fee for the modification is **** near the cost of the ticket.

I'm coming from Israel, and thank God I didn't book yet.
 
Man sucks for those coming from OOS and who already have bookings signed and sealed. Luckily I’ll be driving from Jacksonville and can always grab a room if the Airbnb option falls through. Hoping that with the change in dates that the same or more Canes fans can attend so we have a good representation there at Camping World. Would suck balls for it to be 70-75% Gayturd fans.
