Hmmm Lamar miller, cmac, Orlando Franklin, Feliciano, seantrel, Travis Benjamin, jimmy graham, clive walford, Allen hurns, Olivier Vernon, Allen bailey, Sam shields, hankerson, b. Washington. Ray ray Armstrong.. Demarcus van d. even chase ford playin in the NFL.


All guys I'm sure recruited in the Randy Shannon era..... But he can't recruit? Understand he may not have been a good head coach. But the man can eye talent. A lot of players getting NFL checks that he approved of. Foh with the Shannon slander. It's unwarranted

Then we can bring up ryan shazier, davonte freeman, joyner and he recuited kacy rogers, jimmy gaines, deon cain, tyrone cornilious etc, those early classes were good then after he started to go for reaches and not recruit studs in his own backyard

His defense actually stayed the same. 2003 was the last year of butch players.

With Butch players Randy's defense ranked 6th, 7th and 2nd

After Butch players left his defense ranked 28th, 4th and 7th. He was posting good defenses with Romeo Davis and Cook as starting LBs

That might actually be a great idea for him in order to get his career back on track. Maybe he could come down to college(not UM) and really carve out a niche for himself. If he shows out he could get a crack at a college HC job. This is of course assuming he can rediscover what it was that made him a good DC to begin with.

It's what I've heard too. He's been phoning it in for years. He's made some questionable recruiting decisions that were on him, but I think a new situation will help.

PS. He didn't just butt heads with Pruitt, they had to be physically separated. No way he would be asked to come.
 
Simple defenses seem to work better in college. Let them learn complicated schemes in the NFL.
 
Randy Shannon is a loser. No thanks.

Jim Leavitt, Michael Barrow and Kevin Patrick please with Mike Rumph.

The school will trust Mark Richt to make the choice.

Mentor Dorsey as OC
Shannon improved UF defense overnight and improved IF recruiting SFL. Taking him from UF helps our defense and stabs a knife into UG recruiting.

But I want Leavitt and Co.

richt didn't have a qb ready for this year. it's his fault, but down years happen with pro style offenses. qb recruitment and development is always at a premium for guys who run that type of offense. they can't plug in a converted db or wr and run a power spread.

that said, when a guy like richt has a good qb, they are very successful. uga has had great qbs and good defenses to go with them a few years. during his tenure at uga, lsu, bama, auburn and uf have all had dominant programs. he's played uf, lsu and auburn every year for the last 15 years, not to mention having to play bama in the seccg in 2012. uga would have skull drug nd for the natty. theU and osu edged him out in 2002 and texas/sc played for it in 2005.

i think he can take us to a natty. if he stays for 10 years (he'll be 65), i can see us playing in the acccg about half of those years with a shot to get in the playoffs. we should dominate the coastal like it's the old big east.
