Possible DC

Leavitt would be a nice hire, but I don't see it happening because of the circumstance that prompted his termination at USF.

Not sure who the right candidates are for DC, but I know I don't want Randy. Lazy recruiter and not the right guy to lead the defensive charge. It's also weird to have a previous head coach come back as a DC. He is not too far removed.

Would Butch Davis be a DC?
Would it even be feasible become so much of the fan base wanted him as head coach. There would be a lot of tension between him and richt in terms of fan base I believe

James Coley brought nothing but misery here. Get that POS out of my face.

As far as DC, go pluck the dude from Wisconsin. Paranos would wet his pants.

One name that should be considered is Ed Orgeron. Great assistant, former HC at 2 different power 5 schools, excellent recruiter. Currently coaching DL at LSU. I'd consider him a homerun hire at DC.

OC? Give me Dorsey. I'm done with Pricko Suave. Dorsey's ceiling as a playcaller will be so much higher than Coley's best will ever be.

Oregeron, IIRC, has NEVER been a coordinator. He was a disaster as a HC.

I think we could do better at DC.,

You mean Randy's conservative/vanilla Defense that got worse as Butch's players left? No ******* thanks!

Anybody speaking negative about Randy Shannon defensive coaching acumen is a fuggin idiot. Especially In regards to Florida athletes. If you think Randy wouldn't field a dominate aggress 4-3 defense then you don't know Miami football or Randy Shannon.

Randy Shannon of ALL people is being questioned and insulted as a defensive coordinator. Holy shid.

You mean Randy's conservative/vanilla Defense that got worse as Butch's players left? No ****ing thanks!

In 2005 and 2006 he had top 10 defenses with not a single Butch player. Do you follow this program at all or do you just root for Butch Davis?

lulz at the thought of Radio coming back. ACC tight ends would all applaud that move.

It is possible for him to have grown as a defensive mind... he was still considered one of the best DCs in cfb if not the best during his time as one at UM.

Would take him back in a ****n heart beat compared to the **** show we've had to deal with the last 5 years.

I loved Randy's defense. If we had any semblance of an offense we would have played for the title 2 more times under Coker. If you thought the 2001-2006 defenses sucked, you have no eyeballs.

It is possible Larry Coker has grown as a head coach. Maybe we should have hired him instead of Richt.

Time to move on. There are plenty other defensive coordinators out there to choose from and pretty much all of them will be better than D'Onofrio.

Stats, his rings, his awards, all mean nothing because he is black. If he were white they'd be making the case for his return, forgiving his shortcomings as a HC or at least not insulting him, they definitely wouldn't be doing the latter
