Positive and Negative bullet points for 2020 (Input?)

Another BS 7-6, 8-5, or 9-4 season. I don’t think we will ever finish much better than that with these coaches and administration. The BOT bytches like things that way.
Mediocrity=Miami. End of story. We’re a chickenshyt typical blah ACC team going nowhere but maybe some donkey bowl in El Paso or Boise. Great snowball fights, though.

Positives first...

  • We will start the preseason ranked 15-20th in the country... (Assuming we win out and win our bowl game in 2019 and returning starters)
  • We get Jealen Phillips, Lorenzo Lingard, Scott Patchan, Zach McCloud, and Bubba Bolden all back...
  • We will start the season 3-0 and move into the top 10 if we beat an undefeated Michigan State team...
  • We get Florida State, North Carolina, Duke at Home.
  • No more Tate Martell discussions. (We will miss his sister though lol)
  • Teams will be forced to double team Gregory Rousseau allowing others like Garvin, Patchan, Phillips, Harvey, and etc to eat.
  • Our O-Line should be physically better and they will have more experience as a unit.
  • Coaching staffs development and direction will start to show...

Negatives...

  • Strength of schedule is hella weak and this equals more boring noon games.
  • We lose to Michigan State and Georgia Tech on the road and the Season is washed again (But we will hear "we still have an opportunity to win the coastal.)
  • We play Virginia Tech and Virginia on the road. (Wake is not in the coastal but we must beat this garbage team).
  • Our most experienced linebacker will be Zach McCloud.

My positives outweigh my negatives however, I'm Interested to hear others Positives and Negatives and see if how they weigh them.

That summary of positive and negatives was not bad. I see alot of positives that we haven't seen in years. Depth will be alot better on both sides of the ball. We have a qb, offensive line more experience and maturity. Offensive weapons everywhere. Solid coaching staff getting these guys ready. Strength and conditioning coach.

Negatives experience a defensive tackle and linebacker. If we can get solid play from the linebacker position a d the younger defensive tackles we good.

Almost 2 decades of promised expectations not delivered. Always hope the Canes win but for me 1 game at a time starting with FIU. See where we are after the games are played
I swear this is who I am now. I am DONE with thinking “we will anything”. I hope we play well and beat FIU. That’s 100% the only thing I care about looking forward. []_[]

Jarren will continue to grow as a Leader and will be on fire next season.

Lingard will be RB1 and will make the offense much more dynamic.

We will have a three-headed monster at TE (which will cause match-up nightmares for opponents) as Mallory will really emerge next season.

Wiggins will continue to progress. Payton & Pope both emerge.

Offense takes a major step forward.

We add a new scholarship K.

Our defense will be stout (led by a really strong DL group & the DBs). A couple of the young LBs really need to emerge for us (and overcome as many growing pains as possible). I think our young LBs will be faster & more athletic than our current LBs but will be far less experienced. If they really get their assignments down & continue to develop well physically over the next year, they should do well after going through some growing pains.

As long as we finish recruiting strong (including a K) and we win the last couple of games (and a bowl), we should win at least 9-10 games next year. We may even surprise to the upside. I think it will be a talented & more mature team next year (except at LB). There is reason for optimism.

Better than what Barry has done with a 2* left tackle and guy that was a center in high school playing guard for the 1st time ever?

What Kehoe, Searles, Barry, God, Fred down the Street,et al has done with recruiting and coaching up OL units that time and again haven't been able to handle D1P5 level play...

plenty of blame to go around with coaches and players...

Whatever OL recruits come in this year are all on Barry, Enos and Manny. I was as harsh as anyone, but I can say there has been tangible improvement across the line. I've gone from Defcon 2 to Defcon 4. Let's see what talent they can recruit now.

At this point in time, who are the OL athletes inbound and/or being targeted by Miami?
