Position switches

Besides figuring out which DB and OL belongs where…Only one I'd like to see is Pruitt to full-time LB. Although I'd like him full-time anywhere, just not stuck in between on the bench. Think he should be on the field at least 40% of time if not more, he's a player imo.

I guess CWH somewhere at DB wouldn't hurt, but we have plenty options there.

- Judd as an option QB to prevent Toney from getting drilled in these Wildcat snaps (HS tape shows a very capable athlete, he doesn't have to throw it)

- Pruitt to S (@gogeta4 had it first, as always)

- Dylan Joyce to waterboy

- Put the Luna brothers at TE. WR room is overcrowded.

Nickel to nickel

Yes ... we have such a solid history of DE successfully converting to LB.

I’m from the old school and Jimmy did it all
the time in our glory days. Our DE rotation is heavy. We are not heavy at LB. Picket is 230-240lbs and he has twitch.

Since we are apparently using Lofton everywhere hypothetically, what are the odds he could put some hands on a rusher in punt safe?

Jimmy Johnson was well known for moving lighter quicker players into front seven positions. Safeties became linebackers. Linebackers became defensive ends. Not the other way around.

In more recent history, Miami has had a lot of trouble trying to turn undersized pass rushers into stand up linebackers. Our most recent flop in that area would be Malik Bryant, who got moved back to defensive end and then transferred. Mo Toure did make a nice transition from pass rushing outside linebacker to a more traditional standup linebacker position last year though so it does happen.

If I remember correctly, Anez Cooper came in as a defensive tackle and switched quickly to guard. I don’t know of anyone on the squad that I could see making the switch and then being super productive immediately.
Nah the story was Mario showed up with Big Joe to do the in home thinking he'd be a DT and Coop said he wanted to play OL. They were kind of shocked lol

Alofaituli to DT if it doesn't work out at Center. If Rhys Woodrow or someone else walks in and solidifies that 2nd string spot behind Rodriguez, move Seuseu to DT.
Logan Sagapolu had some success making this move at Washington. Seuseu is a much better athlete with the tools to excel at that position.

I thought Nickel at Quarter-back would be dropping dimes. At least two of them. Get it? Get it? Nickel, quarter, 20 cents....

Thank you, thank you, I'll be here all week.
Unfortunately a nickel can only drop pennies.

As much as I cracked jokes on Judd.... I actually wouldn't mind this. Or at least use him for a few Goal line packages.
