Pope...nope. Tate’s dates are thicker than Pope of late.Is it just me or does he look like he is a really starting to fill out a little bit?
The way some plays are designed put the WRs in the middle of traffic. When UM threw those screens to WRs, the receiver was often hemmed in by his own blockers. In most cases, the UM receiver had to squeeze through the tangle of blockers and defenders, usually in a narrow space along the sideline. Maybe it was poor defense by UM, but NCSU receivers seemed to have plenty of open area to run in before getting close to a defender.I don't see it - at least compared to other elite WRs - but maybe he is. I did see that while we made more catches, none of our receivers really get YAC. They seem to flutter in the wind the minute the D touches them. Did anyone notice that? They throw our WRs around like they don't weigh anything.

You stay hating on pope, give credit where it’s duePope and Wiggs are still a bust in my book although they obv had a pretty good game (keep in mind half the WR's were out with COVID so they got every snap). Pope still good for a easy drop every single game, god ****
Harley has turned the corner and become the ******* man. Good for him
On a team with legit recievers he wouldn’t be asked to do the things he’s doing. He’s a bubble, drag, and occasional catch defense slipping downfield kind of guy. Asking him to make contested catches frequently is not doing him any favors period. The drops have to stop thoughI see people on here saying Pope played his best game....if so then he’s pathetic and not UM caliber, I’m sorry.
yesterday he dropped a key pass that hit him right in the numbers and also on a deep ball that was perfectly thrown, he literally just stumbled on nothing lost his balance and fell.
the standard for receivers at Miami is higher than that garbage.
Every receiver has drops though, that’s the thing. Regardless he made more than enough big time plays than to just focus on that 1 drop when he finished with 6 catches 97 yards 1 td, that’s ridiculous imoOn a team with legit recievers he wouldn’t be asked to do the things he’s doing. Can’t say it’s one drop. I thought he played well last night. Drops have been there all year. He struggles making catches coming back to the footballEvery receiver has drops though, that’s the thing.
