Due diligence is just about to bite us in the butt..
You keep saying this and you are still wrong.
A great HC is 10000x more important then a recruiting class. People used that excuse last year not to fire Golden.
Miami has had **** near a month to decide on a coach...other schools have picked up new coaches that will be good fits for their program in less than a week...by the end of next week everyone without a coach will have one... recruiting before the dead period...while Miami's hired think tank will have their list down to five oh now 4 one just got hired by some other team... is it any more than contact the desired coach or his handler...say this is UM we are going to hire a coach in the next two weeks let me know if you are interested by weeks end
You don't know what you don't know. You don't know when other programs will have coaches, if they've hired a group to assist in the search, or basically anything. I understand your interest for obvious reasons, but please don't act like you know how any of this is going or goes. It's obvious you have no clue how a coaching search goes during the season and for some they still have a game left before their bowl preparations.
No offense to your son or any recruit, but go somewhere else if you don't want to wait. As another said, this hire is far more important than any recruit or any class of recruits. Recruiting hasn't been the problem, development of the talent once it gets here is. That's been true for a decade and some change.
None of the bigger openings have filled beside VT. Are all those other schools running out of time as well? Do you know when things started moving behind the scenes before coach x was fired or resigned? Nah, you're just guessing.
