Polendy Out for the Year

Sucks for the kid. As long as Brevin and Mallory stays healthy, this will not have a negative impact on the team. Polendy was going to be the 4th string TE heading into next spring, which made him a prime transfer candidate, even prior to this injury.

I wish the kid a speedy recovery and I wish him well with the rest of his career, even though I highly doubt it will be at Miami.

So that’s Polendey, Irvin, Brown, Wilder out for the year. Rousseau could be out for the year, Herbert is hurt for an extended period of time and Richards hasn’t been back since LSU. Figure Johnson and Richards will be back in the next week or two as they aren’t really needed this weekend.

The only positive I could think of is the four or five out for the year could redshirt.

Got to adjust,
My 2 suggestions
-in the goaline or short yardage situation bring a 6th lineman in as a “tight end” to block. Don’t force the issue here and make it over complicated.
- move langham and have him split out and play the role Mallory is playing out wide instead of taking one of our top 3 receiver spots. Just to have him rep there not necessarily take reps over Mallory .

We’ll see a lot more Tray Gray at HBack.

Polendey isn’t a UM player, so if we replace his reps with an extra WR we will be better on offense.

Year 3 and 2 out of 4 scholarship tight ends on the roster suffer serious knee injuries. How could this happen? Why didn’t Richt realize he should’ve had 8 scholarship tight ends on the roster by now?

IHaving 2 true Freshman plus Polendy and the often injured and out of shape Irvin was the proper way to enter the season at TE? Yes, we needed more depth there, period.
