Polendy Out for the Year

He had a ball thrown his way during the game, it wasn’t the most accurate pass, but it was an example of why he should be blocking primarily. The ball hit him in his stone hands, he pivoted, it look like he caught his cleat, and then he face planted. It was almost slap stick like.

Richt didn’t mention anyone else other than Willis, Bandy, Finley, and Johnson today. Those first three will be fine and Johnson has a hammy which will be watched carefully this week. I’d say he’s 50/50 for Saturday.

Either I’m calling BS on Polendey or for some reason Richt didn’t mention it. Can’t afford to keep losing guys to long term injuries. Already lost Irvin, Brown, Rousseau, Wilder, Herbert, and now possibly Polendey. Throw Richards in there even but he’s week to week I’d say.

I’d like to see Johnson and Richards rested against FIU. Let’s have them fresh when we begin conference play.

Can 100% get a bone contusion non-contact. With pivot-shift or hyperextension injury the tibia and femur contact each other. They can happen without soft tissue injury although it is less likely.

sounds like a zebra, but fair enough.

What game are you talking about? He got hurt in warmups before Toledo

And both being true freshmen, one of which (Mallory) is about 30 pounds lighter than he needs to be.
Yeah I agree, they were both going to play and I expected Jordan to be the starter, but was really hoping Irvin and Pollendy would allow us to play Mallory more as a situational TE.

I thought it was him who dropped that gimme pass. I didn't want to believe it was Mallory. Sigh.

He should’ve, but that ball should’ve been out 3 secs earlier and that was a big gain. Again, inaccuracies by Rosier

As much as I love to pile on Rosier, that’s on Mallory IMO.

That’s about as accurate as you’re going to get from Rosier on a roll out. Hit both of his hands.

Anyways, he’ll shake it off. Kids unbelievably talented.

You may have something there with the S&C program. For players who practice in the brutal So Fla heat and humidity, I thought our D looked - at times - more gassed than Toledo's did. Surprising.

Good thing we didn't play in the Carrier Dome on Saturday. Players were dropping like flies from cramps in the 88 degree sauna under that roof in the FSU-SU game.

lol. Rosier can't see over the line. He had to let Mallory clear the line before he could see he was open. It's probably the main reason he doesn't utilize the middle of the field.

Even Ware said that ball should’ve been out well b4.

But like I said, whether the pass is behind or not, like my dad always said, if ur hands is on the ball, u should catch it.

I’m just saying, Mallory was already open and Rosier took longer to pass him the ball and when he did, instead of it being in front of him, it was behind him. He did the same thing to Harley twice on the bubble screens and Thomas. Both had to adjust their bodies which turned a supposed 5-6 yrd gain, to 0 b/c of taking away their momentum. Ware commented on that, too.

It wasn’t a gimme, it was very late and behind him. He should’ve caught it but the timing was off and bad accuracy.

If Malik hits him when he’s open it’s a huge gain. But he finally saw him after he’s worked across the field and was almost out of bounds. But that’s what we’ll have to deal with:
