I hope Miami does not drag their feet much longer and wait to hire someone. You have the perfect hire right in front of their faces in Butch Davis. Richt is not the guy Miami needs. I believe he has lost his fire and Miami desperately needs a Miami type of hire. I do not want the spread, as most of the spread teams have not done well when going up against a powerful defensive scheme. Keep running the pro style offense and get the defensive guys we used to and Miami will be relevant again. This is why I do not want Herman, Kelly or Richt. Hire Butch now and let the new era begin again!

Im not high on Richt but you have to be mentally retarded not to want a 50 point per game offense at Miami.

The one thing all the 3-4 Saban defenses (like what they have at FSU) struggle with is tempo and motion. They are built to stop pro style play action offenses, and they dominate.

Spread them out and run tempo and they struggle. In other words, your porst is an epic fail.
 
I'm starting to think a majority of our fan base has Butch rated as the #1 Head Coach to ever exist. No one else will ever be good enough. Cmon guys, Butch is great but lets face reality.... Herman, Richt, Kelly, all of these guys are homeruns.

No other fanbase would want Butch over Herman or Kelly. Once again proves we are the dumbest fanbase going.
 
Kelly, Herman, or Richt instantly become the best coach in our division and are good enough to beat FSU (because even Golden could make it close). This means even if they're not your favorite pick, they can get us in the playoff race yearly.

Yeah, cause teams that don't run spreads do really well against "powerful defensive shemes". Lol

It baffles me that so many are solidly sold on Butch. He is not and will never be a good game manager. Can't he evaluate talent? Absolutely, but that's not all we need. We need a coach who understand today's landscape. I don't care who you are when you've been away from the action over 5 years you're behind the game.

I'm not sure who we need but I don't want Butch for the same reasons no other school in the country wants him. Only with Hurricane fans can this even be a conversation. NO OTHER SCHOOL IN THE COUNTRY IS PURSUING BUTCH.

Also, I was in the OB when the get out of Miami banners flew for Butch.
