I don't care how irrational it is, but I want nothing to do with this bozo

Agreed. Has not one iota of a clue about anything offensive design. He better be ghost.

Get rid of Coley, Swasey, and Kehoe. Keep Randy Shannon away from this program.

His playcalling is the problem, not his recruiting. As long as Richt is determined to call his own plays, we could do a lot worse than keep Coley.

What would it matter? Richt is calling the plays now. Would love it if he stayed on for the recruiting factor.

In my 35 years most Canes fans hate all OC's we have had so I pay no attention to people not liking whoever is calling the plays. The truth is Coley is a good not great OC but he is a great recruiter and I hope we keep him since Richt will call the plays . None the less I think richt brings in his own people besides Scott and ICe and I cool with that though.

With Richt's son coming on as likely QB coach, there is no space for Corley on this staff. He can return to Trailerhassee to serve as Jimbo's bagman.

Honestly our South Florida recruiting was worse with that clown here.

Coley got us Kaaya and Allison said as long as Coley is there he is committed to Miami. Coley won't be calling plays so there's no hurt in him playing an assistant like he was under Jimbo

So you want to waste a staff position on a guy who can't actually coach?

I don't see it as a waste. If Richt is gonna call plays, the OC's primary job -- no matter who it is -- will be talent eval/recruiting anyway. Could we find someone equally skilled at recruiting and more likely to contribute to gameday planning? Maybe we could. I'm ambivalent about keeping Coley one way or the other, but the OC's role next year is gonna look different than the OC's role this year, which is actually more in line with Coley's strengths. (Yeah, his calling sucks, but he gets some points for delivering our starting QB and RB.)

I'll leave this one up to Richt. I heard a lot of positive things about Coley tonight from someone who knows him quite well and I respect.

I thought Coley usually scripted his first few series well, but would then putter out or even go to sleep in the second half. A lot of people suspected that he was asked to take the foot off of the gas and without giving away more, that's precisely what was asked.

Anyhow, we'll see what happens. He and his wife (who doesn't want to leave Miami) would love to stay.

I think Scott should stay for sure. Coley if he wants a big demotion and maybe Beard but he may not have the coachimg experience Richt will prob want and have access to.

Sad thing is we never got the full benefit of this guy's main strength--recruiting--because he joined an already sinking ship. I wouldn't mind keeping him around in some capacity to get the benefit of his recruiting strength under a new regime where he has something to sell. But if Richt has someone better bring him on.
