I only focused on Blount 2 or 3 plays and he looked a bit slow and stiff. I expected more, but again, my sample size is very small and hopefully I just saw his worse looking plays.

I hear you - he’s a work in progress. He doesn’t have the strength and skill to make an impact from the inside, unfortunately. Lots of those backups were mostly ineffective imo (Bryant, lightfoot, Blount). But, they are hustle guys who will get better.
 
Not interested in combing through this thread but has Lowe's DNP been addressed?

These tight snap counts is what I wanna see. I hate these huge rotation at certain positions. It doesn't build continuity and proper communication. If you wanna get snaps displace the man that's ahead of you or atleast match his play. Can't forget our defense stuffing Michigan St, Manny Diaz makes a mass substitution and they broke off a huge run. Btw i think more players will get burn as the season progress and we play less talented opponents. May have been a decision to keep the rotation extra small as the margins can be small. There are players that will certainly play thay got no snaps. Like the FR TEs for example.

Could look at Samson for a realistic Jones POV. He has had some injuries and adjusting to a grown man spot. Seems too athletic to be a miss but could be wrong of course
