Pittsburgh

Pitt is a joke of a team without their star QB. I wouldnt waste too much time thinking about this game, use it to rotate people on OL and load manage the injured guys

They gave up 434 yards passing to a guy name Grunkemeyer who is not even half as good as Mensah.

We should roll if the weather is good and we get back into rhythm.

I really hope that’s not true. Thought we played a terrible game. It wasn’t unlucky or ‘whoops TOs.’ We got beaten in multiple areas for reasons that follow teams into subsequent games.

Think some failed to watch Daniels prior to our game. He is one panicky QB and struggles with any processing. We let him off his hook.
Not from my view. He had a couple incredible passes to an elite WR that he couldn’t replicate if he tried 100 more times. Other than that, he was pedestrian. Take those away, and the two well executed screens, and FSU’s offense does next to nothing against us. The only thing — to me — that screamed trouble of a nature that follows teams was the right side of the line.

Take away all his good plays? Take away all of Mensah’s good plays. Or anyone’s? Bottom line is Daniels looked better against us than he did just last week. And, it shouldn’t have happened. I think our coverages have shown vulnerability consistently since Wake (sans CM, who doesn’t throw the ball).

Kind of an interesting spot here.

- Noon kick coming off an emotional OT win for us. While I’m holding out hope for better-than-historically expected attendance, the atmosphere is going to feel “sleepy”

- Their offense is down to scrub QBs. True freshman they started looked AWFUL for the most part against BC. The transfer that started last week against UNC essentially lost them that game.

- their defense on the other hand is significantly better than FSU’s from what I’ve seen. I could see Narduzzi looking to exploit our pass pro in particular

- was surprised to see they still haven’t had a Bye yet.

Really want to see us flush this FSU result and turn around and kick this teams ***. But could also see a flat first half too.

Thoughts?
This QB is GUARANTEED to look like a mix of prime Brady, Vick, Allen, and Mahomes combined.

We made Ashton ******* Daniels look like a decent QB.

Every single week is challenge

We now carry the #1 ranking… you don’t think players and coaches don’t want that dub over us?

This is what Nick Saban talked about.. rat poison… gotta come in ready to dominate or expect weekly battles to the end

Yeah, they’ll kick some field goals on us however will struggle in the redzone. Narduzzi isn’t going to go for it on fourth much, I suspect.

They were 12-0 on BC w/ half of the first quarter left to play and only scored 21 points by the end of the game. We should dominate them even more than last year.

Boston College had two red-zone interceptions and a turnover on downs at Pitt’s forty. Pitt committed a ****ton of penalities and their DBs hold every play.
They are awful scoring TDs in the redzone. Against p5 teams, just 50% TD in 16 red zone opportunities (~3/game).

They are 15th in sacks/game. 12th in TFLs/game. 4th in INTs forced/game. 2nd in rushing YPA allowed. They have been even worse than we have been in 3rd down defense, though.

Don't throw INTs and limit their havoc plays and we should score enough points to make it unwinnable with their QB situation. Will be a great test for our running game though.
