Pittsburgh

Y’all try to make pitt a tough game every year and they just keep smacking them guys
Wrong

In the last five contests, three were very close/competitive, one was a Pitt blowout, one a Miami blowout. So we've only laid a "smacking" once (last year) in five games.

Thís make the point even more. The games were competitive when we sucked and get the still was losing most of the time. They are 7-3 vs pitt in the last 10

Pitt WR Landon Wright caught a couple of passes Saturday but they had 13 penalties for 133 yards...No wonder they lost to lowly BC.

Which is why, deep inside, Mario probably loved the way the FSU game played out.
I think he loves the grind it out, but there is no way he invited all the important recruits to watch Miami get outcoached by a staff that’s likely getting fired.

Kind of an interesting spot here.

- Noon kick coming off an emotional OT win for us. While I’m holding out hope for better-than-historically expected attendance, the atmosphere is going to feel “sleepy”

- Their offense is down to scrub QBs. True freshman they started looked AWFUL for the most part against BC. The transfer that started last week against UNC essentially lost them that game.

- their defense on the other hand is significantly better than FSU’s from what I’ve seen. I could see Narduzzi looking to exploit our pass pro in particular

- was surprised to see they still haven’t had a Bye yet.

Really want to see us flush this FSU result and turn around and kick this teams ***. But could also see a flat first half too.

Thoughts?
Look on the bright side homie, the Jacobs brothers suppose to attend this game.

Our win wasn't pretty but it was a win nevertheless homie. Pretty sure the recruits didn't have a problem watching the NEW # 1 team in the country pull out a victory when all the other teams they're considering took a major L this weekend lol!

You indicated we've been smacking them for years, which clearly hasn't been the case. It happened once this decade.

7 out of the last 10 is smacking
You said "smacking" them every year. A smacking is a beatdown. So you indicated we beat them down year after year. That hasn't happened.

Since 2010, we've "smacked" them four times, even though we're 9-3 over that span. So 4/12 games were a smacking. That's 33%, far less than half.

Most of the games against Pitt have been competitive. A "smacking" isn't as common as you think.

You can type to your finger numb. I meant what I said. Smacking

This is the part of the season where sometimes we fall asleep at the wheel, but Mensah is a consistent QB and this is not the 2024 defense
