Their third down defense was excellent (4th in the nation), but Jancek and Martinez would be extremely disappointing hires. Richt fired both at UGA six years ago and it would not be a good sign at all if both are brought to Miami. It'd be a serious, immediate red flag. This rumor better be false.

Jancek's current salary is the same as Aranda's, according to USA Today. Jancek makes more than Todd Orlando and Barnett/Tressel from Michigan State. We have to do better.

Richt fired Willie and Jancek when Willie was DC and Jancek was LB coach. At Tenn, Jancek is DC and Willie is db coach.

I'll believe it's a "legit rumor" when someone from our side puts it out there. Until then, it's a stark contrast to the rest of the coaching rumors, for the reasons you've said. Hires so far have made sense. This would not.
