Phillips declares

[scrantoncane]

[gacaneaddict]

Is he opting out of bowl game?

[Handsome Squidbum]

For a dude who was medically retired a couple years ago, I can understand wanting to take his chances with the NFL now. Can't argue with this decision.

[mdpcane]

Is he opting out of bowl game?

he said you can take his spot

[Yoyo423]

Is he opting out of bowl game?

If he's declaring before the bowl game, then I'd guess yes.

[FourFingers]

Although we will obviously miss him, happy for the dude. Rehabbed here at Miami, played his heart out, and went from medically retired to a day 1 pick.

[Noliaboi]

Taking bets on where he get drafted!

[Allabouttheu95]

Had a pretty good year. Dissapeared completely in our two big games (like everyone else did). Has a lot to work on but wouldn’t be surprised if he has a good nfl career down the road. May go out on limb and say he has highest upside of any d end we have sent to league since Olivier Vernon

[Atom Atlas]

Thanks for the year... You gave us a solid DE for the year and we gave you a shot to live an NFL dream... Wish him the best...

[SevenNSeven]

Good for him. He'll go high in the draft, gave us a lot to root for this year. His motor combined with athletic talent was fun to watch.

[Meast21]

And so it begins...

[Page305]

As expected and should 100% be supported and appreciated.

[JgDaCane]

I agree with his decision. He's ready & will be drafted in the 2nd round at worst.

[TexasCane90]

Good for him...

Played his heart out and you can just see he’s still warming up to his potential.

[ageezy]

god bless and good luck

[Canesmia01]

Can’t argue at all with that decision. Go get paid.

[BeastMode]

congrats to that young man. Worked his *** off and is about to get PAID!!!

[Donsnaps]

Go get it big dawg. Believed he would bounce back from the jump.

[who]

He’s higher on some draft boards than Greg. It’s a no brainer so I won’t fault him at all. Players really only stay if they feel like the team can do something (win the natty) next year.

[CashMoneyCane]

Should have come back. Flashed but was inconsistent this season and the rest of his tape is like four years old.

Play another season for first round money.

But, all the best to the guy. Hope he gets to the League and shines. We need it.
