PHENOMENAL Article on Stopping Jameis

i bet you they try to bring burns in off the corner hard and fast on the first no receiver formation FSU runs

I still think our strategy last year was pretty good if we could have gotten to jameis a few times with some of those stunts.

You mean if we could have actually tackled him instead of running right past him...right?

Bingo Sebastian, we got to him at least five times last year but he'd spin out or we just whiff on the tackle. Bring the same pressure but make the play and we force them into that zone of consciousness where there thinking instead of executing!

They Need to disguise coverage and blitzes. I agree with playing the WR tight and not give them 8-10 Yards cushion. Need to give our CB help with the safeties if we really play press man. Mix up the blitzes and dropping 7-8 into coverage. FSU is so good Overall its hard to stop them completely and you shouldn't expect that. So our Defense Needs to play lights out, so we can have a Chance to win. We are missing depth at Dline so this will be a real test for our guys. like the article says, you Need to hit the QB often and early so he has to respect the blitzes and have him think about those things.

Maybe we slow winston down by dropping 8, but dalvin cook will go off and the crab legs will still be fresh in the 4th qtr. We can't let them off the hook.

F this drop back and wait crap. I want somebody hitting him on every play.

Hulk SMASH!!

Every play.

I agree. Loserville was doing fine with all pressure. As soon as they started more coverage type defense to protect their lead, they lost their lead. Rapist is not like our old Vinny. You could beat on Vinny forever and it did not matter. Rapist does not like getting hit. We need to pound him every play. Hit the sucker on running plays too. Feather people have too much talent to think anyone will stop all of it so focus on the one player who always touches the ball and make him think about pain, pain, and more pain. This punk is a psycho and will lose it if we keep it up. Give him time and he will eat us alive. We have the offense to beat these turds in the fourth this year because was have a real Miami QB.

Canezum is right about noles having trouble with Al's defense last year. It is basically the defense psu used to beat us so many years ago. But Dumbo adjusted and stopped going for kill shots and Al doesn't make changes. We need to beat Rapist to death the whole game. Otherwise if we gets some picks he will get all manic crazy on us, noles will give him some of whatever medication the nut case takes and he will pick us apart. Ideally, offense has four nice long 1st half Duke/Yearby led drives touchdown drives and defense plants Rapist in between. Then hopefully, when Rapist starts quick throws to avoid getting hit, Al has our coverage guy tight on the relievers with orders to jump the frigging pass for pick.

If you have to blitz to have any chance of getting a hit on the QB, confusing him, or rushing his reads then you are probably already beat.

We can't rush 3. We suck at it. We are better at covering our zones for shorter amounts of time (duh I guess). Blitzing Winston can be a disaster but giving him and Green too much time is a sure way to a slow death. Winston will make some mistakes. We have to go down swinging.

You gotta mix it up and disguise.

When he thinks your not coming, bring everything.

It's about keeping him uncomfortable.

Smart QB's eat consistent pressure alive.

When he thinks your coming, drop back.

Of course.

Jameis is one of the alltime morons when it comes to being a human being, but the kid is a baller. He just makes plays. We won't stop them, we just have to play the odds. Karlos Williams is a talented athlete but not facing Freeman and Wilder is a HUGE deal here. Those two were so **** physical at the position, and Freeman played against us with the biggest chip on his shoulder I've ever seen.

Green will get his, but we have to limit the ability to spread it around. I noticed a few things against UNC on the DL that I liked, creatively, so we will see.

Every time I see a def. only rush 3 lineman or play a Zone vs FSU this year, I see Winston make some sort of big play. You have to play man/ bump&run vs FSU. Yes they are going make plays but you have to live with them, cause he will pick apart a zone. Showing different blitzes and playing Man to Man is the key to this game vs one of our strongest units, our Secondary.

He's always looking for Greene and O'leary, or it's usually a check down to the RB. Rudolph gets his when usually going up against a weaker CB and is just a very good player. But I can see Howard/Elder playing him real tough.

I would stick Burns on Greene all game and maybe a lil Howard...On O'leary not sure, maybe a mix of Bush and some some CB's. You have to be aggressive b/c every time a team plays prevent or some sort of soft zone, those Bi**** get an easy TD. Keep playing aggressive and let the Def. eat.

Jameis has a football microprocessor in one side of his brain that gives him his football accumen and then he has a ***** on the other side of this brain that makes all of the other decisions.

Jameis is having trouble getting hit so much

Thing is he audibles to the same 3 or 4 plays whenever he sees one coming. Screen to Cook. Quick slant to the WR where the LB is coming off of or Oleary wherever the LB/Safety is coming from. Its the same few cheesy plays.

Going up 21-0 Louisville should not have passed as much as they did with their running game being as effective as it was. And they also should have gone into a time consuming bend but don't break D once they were up 21-0. Let Jameis get the little short passes but also let him chew that clock up. They blitzed too much up 21-0 and gave up BIG plays for quick TD's

1. Double A gap blitz with Grace and Perryman. Both cross blitzes and normal pressures. FSUs center sucks and they have a WR and freshman at RB. Don't even care if we drop the outside rushers or not (lets mix it up and do both just for funsies), but we need to get interior pressure.

2. Counter to the blitz we've been running a fair bit the last few weeks with McCord dropping and Grace/Denzel coming on the opposite side and the SLB looping inside. SLB and Grace both drop, McCord delayed blitz, everyone else does whatever, but we've run this blitz a ton, they've seen it, make the play look like it and do something else.

Prosper.

Only Jameis being Jameis off the field will stop him. Dislike him as a person but he doe's have game as a qb.

2 weeks to install some nice wrinkles. Don't give Al an extra week to prepare because he'll run you out of the building. I fully expect to see Alichick install some wrinkles that leave Jimbo and Jemima in puddles of their own blood and ****.
