The reality is that Genron is Champagnat's DC. Does not like Miami, and has had problems before. He got in a big tussle with Dabo, and was kicked off the SFE staff for breaking rules.
Compliance director at LSU. E-mail her if you have something. If you know something, don't let these *** holes get away with it or enable them. If we have to play clean then make them play clean too. Otherwise, don't bring it up.

Like most on this board he does like miami but he isnt a big fan of the coaching staff
the parents and coaches can visit with their kids. they have to pay their own way….. it's not an ncaa violation
now, if they find a pre-paid visa on the ground tohelp out… AWESOME
the op is correct and it's really happening
lol now thats an NCAA violation and we are on probation. not happening here. LSU, they are who they are…..the parents and coaches can visit with their kids. they have to pay their own way….. it's not an ncaa violation

if true, then Miami is a fool for not doing it.
I mean, the athletic department can easily give money to its student employees as part of a paycheck, have them buy gift cards and "drop" those in front of the needed parted without drawing the NCAA attention.
So what Im being led to believe here is that in less than one year, Im not sure if its been 6 months, this Genron fella has been able to strike up this very close relationship with TV and his mom that supercedes anything our staff has with them, and is selling him to LSU? Am I getting this right? TV transferred this year, its not like Genron has been coaching him all these years, and has been this presence in his life like say that fat *** that coached Collins.......
he's just a liaison or agent so to speak between the 2 parties. Its not the close relationship that is sending him to LSU, its other things.
I get that but to say that everything is signed sealed and delivered is a bit of a stretch. TV's mom wants him at home so she can see him play. First the whole money thing is so hysterical, maybe they should have opened up their check book for the best DT in the state over there in Willis III, whose mom also happens to be a huge LSU fan. Im sure TV is being receptive to what LSU is pitching, they have after all been pretty good at defense the last decade or so, but no its got to be money. So they didnt open up their purses for the local kid whose family wanted him at LSU, but they will for the kid from Miami that has only been around their handler for only 6 or so months? Kid is interested in us and he is interested in LSU, you either close or you dont......
Money thing is real...but you can believe what you want
I know people get paid, but its just a excuse that is way over used here. Its like a conspiracy theory, some of it has to be true, but those that really believe in it start to get delusional and think that everything is a conspiracy.

Schools paying for recruits is not an exaggeration. It's standard practice.
Maybe not for schools like Savannah State, Arkansas State, FIU, FAU etc., but that's one of the reasons those schools are crappy football schools.
If you want to be a football power you have to pay players.
Why?
Because the SEC, BIG 12, and all big football powers pay their guys.
We have cheated unsuccessfully in the past. We are just not as good at it as those big football powers in crappy little towns with the close lipped good old boy networks.
I'd bet anything that we have not paid a dime to players for the past 3 years and are not paying this year, and that puts us at a serious disadvantage in recruiting.
Anyone who thinks differently is just being naive.
When those top local recruits decide to make a "business decision," and go elsewhere, it's just code for, "Miami couldn't pay the dollars to keep me."
