Pete is part of the Problem

NOW WE BLAMING PETE
Pete is a good kid and just got caught in the heat of the moment. I’m sure cooler heads prevailed today. You can’t say anything on the internet because receipts last forever but “it is what it is” Dawson voice.

Given Mario’s limitations as a coach we probably shouldn’t expect too much but expectations due to a bad coach and acceptance are two different things. And it shouldn’t be acceptable here ever.

That said, this program is in big trouble of losing a lot of fan support permanently. Personally after years of the Dolphins being awful I’ve lost any care or passion about them. I never watch and never even think about them. Even though we’ve sucked (canes) for most of the past 20 years we always replace our coach and naively think things will get better. We get optimistic and have hope so we stay engaged. Now we realize this is the norm and the admin is ok with it, boosters are ok with it and it’s likely not changing for years. Hard to keep optimism and hope with those variables. Engagement, support and crowds will fall as will revenue.

Did you guys watch the live show this morning with Mike Ruiz? Someone commented saying we’ve already hit our ceiling under Mario and they acted like someone insulted their wife. They shot it down quick.

First off - while some heat is appropriate IMO due to the "its the fans" excuses we've got from site ownership....it aint their fault y'all.

They are here making their nut...just like ANY of y'all would do in similar position. That's it.
After that - its on the mob. That's the real truth. This is a fansite...NOT a fanboard.

The first thing most of y'all would say if the reports stop is - why don't we get any information, this site doesnt do enough, etc. etc.
It ain't about the info coming from guys trying to make a living...its about the mob believing the info and allowing themselves to influenced/suckered.

There's about maybe 20 guys in here who know ball and that may even be too high...oddly enough they frequent the recruiting forum regularly. 90% of this board doesn't even watch recruit film...and guess what, that's fine. The point is - if you are gonna choose to follow blindly and then take up the chants that we're an unstoppable force don't turn on the one's you are following blindly once the wheels invariably fall off. This mob mentality **** in here is crazy. Use yo **** eyes and brains ffs.

I appreciate your post but I don't think it's fair judge anyone after asking for an opinion when leaving the stadium after that disgraceful performance.

Can’t have lower expectations with the investment and the $$$ thrown at the team. Current talent = very high expectations

I had lower expectations with Golden, Manny, Onion and the Pastor because it was obvious the support, recruitment and the talent was not there even close

I wish Pete was our problem… lol

Lol you actually sat down at a keyboard and typed out a thought of how a contributing correspondent of a message board/podcast is “part of the problem”. Pete is the one that generally shoots it straight. However, to entertain your stupidity, If there’s anyone that needs to be tarred and feathered, it’s Mr. State Media mouthpiece, D$. The lies told about guys like Lofton, this OL and Lyle are quite frankly the most asinine things I’ve ever heard based on the season’s body of work.
I think you’re confusing lies with perception.
This roster is talented, probably one of the Top 3 most talented rosters in the country.

Lyle is performing poorly because he’s a square peg, in a round hole and Dawson/Mirabal aren’t utilizing him for his strengths.

The OLine is talented, but their savant OL coach can’t seem to coach discipline.

I think most people saw potential for Lofton after the end of last year. He looks out of shape and slower this year.

Bottom line is the talent is there. The application and execution of talent is not. That’s on the coaching staff.

Mario has one chance

He has to be told, convinced, to loosen up on offense and perhaps get a new OC and be hands off, no pun

Agree

I dont think the RB room is elite but we do have and after this class, assuming no decommits or portal a stacked WR room.

Trader and Mingo can be legit #1s or at the very least, high #2 WRs

Moore and the incoming class all have the ability to be top WRs
