Perry to the portal

while he frustrated a lot of us, we should have nothing but gratitude and respect for N'Kosi. I've met the kid a few times and he couldn't have been nicer, more respectful and humble.

also, i think he might have been told that he had little to no shot of winning the starting QB job, which could be interpreted to mean that the staff has a lot of confidence in TVD and Garcia.

It didn't turn out the way I thought it would here, but I wish the guy nothing but the best. At the top of the game, he can be a really good QB. He's just gotta manage and get better with the lows, but to his credit he's had **** for OC'ers.

I thought N'kosi had tons of potential coming out of high school. Too bad it didn't work out for him here. I don't think his talent was necessarily the issue for him. Seems like the maturity problems and bad run of OC's early in his career here was too much for him to overcome . I hope he's able to land on his feet somewhere and with some luck and hard work find his way to the league. Wishing him nothing but the best moving forward.

This is another indictment on this staff. They have failed to properly manage this roster and we're going into another year with giant question marks on the second level. Last year, while we weren't putting teams away we needed to and using garbage time to give young guys reps and we pay the price this year with rolling out green LB's among others.

Staying on brand, we are unable to win games comfortably this year and have no idea what we have in QB past Perry. So, we're going into a huge year on the hopes and dreams that A) King comes back as close to 100% as possible B)TVD/Garcia are the goods all the while still wondering what we are going to have at CB and WR.

Doesn't bode well when we're flying by the seat of our pants every season...this is NOT team building for the long term
Take a look at the rest of college football. Most schools have uncertainty at the QB position and QBs are transferring all over the place. King has 8 months, he only needs 6-7.

I’ll always have respect for Kosi, looked like he’d be an off field problem and then matured and became one the best teammates you could ask for. I really hope he finds a good place and has a chance to start.

Strange knowing with King hurt and that he would probably start next year. Wish him luck and hope he keeps his head on straight wherever he ends up.
This is the beginning of the potential nightmare. There's no guarantee that King makes it all the way back and he may not have all of his athleticism when he does.

The way Manny said he couldn't wait for King to return and "run the team" was the wrong thing to say IMO. It would have been better to day that we hope King can return, We have to move forward with the guys we have. Perhaps the Perry situation was already decided before the bowl game.

I think Perry was the best option for 2021 outside of King as he looked very good in the Lashlee offense. We could be breaking in a new inexperienced QB for some, part, or all of 2021. That's NOT where I want to be.
