Perry to the portal

Strange knowing with King hurt and that he would probably start next year. Wish him luck and hope he keeps his head on straight wherever he ends up.
Perry wasn’t starting a game unless something went terribly wrong with King’s rehab. ACL timetable is 6-9 months. More thank likely, King will be practicing with the team in summer.

Depends on where he goes... If he goes Group of 5 he could do well... If he goes D2 then I think he really does better... But I doubt you see him go to a Power 5...
FAU.. He has option in Power 5 but wants to stay local cause of his child.

Best of luck to him! He did a great job in the bowl game and seems to have matured a lot lately

I went from not thinking very highly of N'Kosi Perry to being a big fan of his in 2020. He handled losing the starting job with character, based on what I saw. As noted by many others in this thread, he made the most of his opportunity in the 2020 bowl game.

Im a bit sad to see him go simply because Im working under the assumption that King will not be back until the Central Connecticut game. I thought Perry would be the best option for those first few games. Of course the long term upside is that TVD will get a few starts before King comes back.

believe they got the Michael Johnson kid who transferred from Penn State. We wanted Johnson too.
wlll be competition no matter where he goes so will be interesting to see how it turns out

**** of a performance in the bowl game! Best of luck to this young man. Now let's get our young Canes ready and pray that Mr King has an amazing recovery as well 🙏🏼

I wish we could keep Perry, and send the two ACC leaders in dropped passes—Wiggins and Pope—packing❗️(Believe it or not, Wiggins is #1 and Pope is #2 in the ACC in dropped passes😳)

But seriously—I understand Perry’s desire to play, so with King returning, I wish Perry nothing but the best in his future endeavors. Perry came to Coral Gables out of Ocala, made friends, matured and got his his degree in four years. And in the big picture, that is what really counts❗
Who tf wouldn't believe it other than Stevie Wonder maybe?

What’s your thoughts about that, if you don’t mind me asking?
They really love TVD.. and bama is already an uphill battle. Even without the live bullets, an entire offseason of work they think his upside can match what perry would have brought. Now I don’t agree, I think kosi is a goon and he’s been battle tested. I could be wrong that’s just the general sense I get

Talk about baptism by fire for TVD or Garcia if King isn't ready.
True .. Physically TVD should be ready but you never want anyone's first starting game to be against Bama... If it works out that way then so be it... Hopefully by then Lashlee really gets the Offense dialed in and makes it as easy a transition as possible if it comes to that...
