Kelly and Kosar??....Did you just mention N'kosi in the same breath as them??....
I tried to ignore all of that. I think hes just saying we should bring them in to teach the kid. For one he wouldnt respect them enough to sit & learn from 2 greats. #2 Jim is fighting for his life & bernie has dementia. Nkosi perry isnt in that discussion with any of those players except malik who as I initially said is kirby freeman reincarnated. Nkosi is a far less talented ryan collins. I think our fans see what they want to through blinders. Not at all saying he cant get FAR better a s I said for malik but its gonna take alot that #1 I dont think hes mature enough to accept & #2 we dont have the staff at his position capable of developing him properly or asking for help from more established individuals. At um we really are a family. But theres certain positions they simply want no help from when it comes to us. Is what it is.

In your opinion...is Jarren talented enough to overtake Kosi by next yr??...I know he has the Physical tools...but do you think he'll have the mental grasp??

What are the restrictions on time quality control analysts can spend with players?

UM needs to find a Dan Orlovsky clone (former pro, film junky), pay him $250k, and make the QBs live in an apartment together with this "analyst" and spend 24/7 going over film.

We also need to hire "Tyrone" to follow Weldon around ...

I say save that money and hire a real OC/QB coach like Briles or Yost and make Junior the quality control analysts to learn from one of those guys. Unlikely that he does it but If CMR really cared about Juniors long term career success, that’s what he would do. If not, Juniors career at Major College level will last about as long as CMR is in charge.

He’s a far more accurate passer and makes better decisions.

In s year or two after Kosi gets tons of more reps he could surpass Bryce, bc Bryce isn’t getting game reps over Lawrence. But right now he’s isnt better

Hahaha In the one game he played in with any meaning he almost single handily lost the game to Syracuse. Kids sucks and If it wasn’t for injury or blowout he will never play a snap in college. He is at Clemson for all the perks a college football player gets(girls and fun) if he wanted to play he would have transferred when Lawrence and Johnson signed. Career backup Evan sheriff level.

Also we have seen other QBs be successful in Clemson system this year. Kosi is working behind worst OL in P5 and still is making some plays. Your from North Carolina and think you know something but your coming off as a low football IQ moron or you are related to chase Brice. Either way just stop

I don’t give a **** about Bryce I’m just looking at it from an unbiased view. If you can’t see that, it’s not my problem. And I believe he looked better against Syracuse than Kosi did in his first start. That’s irrelevant though I guess.

By the way I have already said Kosi has gotten better with PT and will continue to do so. Bryce won’t bc he won’t play.

Perry is better than Kaaya Rosier Morris and Jacory! Just give him the same reps and watch the major difference in accuracy, touch, and quickness. The problem is design or schemes of receivers routes, which are too long for weak OL pass blocking. Perry would excel in Bama and Clemson offensive schemes. I played QB and he has all the throws from watching him live. Yes, he needs someone like Kelly or Kosar to help him watch films and learn how to read pre snap coverage
jacory wasnt trash, shannon ruined him. Morris i hated on his last year until i found out golden made him play with a bum ankle.
Perry beat FSU, Kaaya always choked lol

If a kid's serious about academics and loads up, he could also leave Miami with a degree as well.
Thats a good degree. That'd be my whole sales pitch, I wouldnt expect a kid to hang around if he isnt going to start... but I would ask them to commit to 3 years total, but to do that, you have to bring in at least a high 3* level talent every year.

You're not talking about a realistic solution though. Hiring a new OC/QB coach would entail demotions for Thomas Brown, potentially Dugans, Jon Richt, and CMR giving up playcalling.

We didn't beat them but the last year he made a clutch TD throw that would have tied the game if we made the extra point.

I don’t disagree that it’s unrealistic and highly unlikely to happen but more so because CMR doesn’t want to give up play calling. Plus he thinks he’s helping out Jon. The reality is that he’s holding Jon back by a) making him a yes man that is not accountable to anyone and b) forcing him to learn and coach an offense that will not benefit him finding another major college job once CMR retires or is fired. Nepotism works when the prodigy is forced to start at the bottom, learn from and be accountable to others not related to them. Jon may flousrish learning and working under someone else. As it is now, he’d be lucky to find a D2 job if CMR is gone.

As for Dugans and Brown, they only have those phony titles so they can be paid more, especially Dugans. I know Brown thinks he’s an OC because CMR let’s him write the plays so he may be a little more difficult to convince, so CMR can make him associate Head Coach. CMR can them focus on what he does best, recruiting the parents, working the administration/boosters and running the program effectively.

CMR can go to Blake James and negotiate hiring a new OC/QB coach If he’s allowed to make Jon a QCA at his current salary, take Co OC title from Dugans and Brown but give them raises and promote Brown to AHC. He may lose Brown but so be it. He will also need a new OL coach. I know this may sound expensive, but Yost currently makes $102k and Briles makes $400K. It may cost the program an additional $1 million a year to get this done, but James did say he would do anything to help CMR succeed.

With Diaz running the Defense and one these guys installing their offense with the talent we have, CMR can make this an elite program and cement his legacy. I know it’s a pipe dream but so is CMR making this anything more than a mediocre program under the current setup.

I would like nothing more than for Richt to hire Yost or someone with an innovative offense but as we both agree it is highly unlikely b/c doing so would mean a lot of people being demoted and/or seeing career paths being negatively effected.

It should happen but we all know minor changes (if any) are coming.

Don’t know why people pay attention to anything Dee says on here. The guy is a drama queen of epic proportions, who obviously stokes the flames when anything negative is happening. Remember when the dude was on here losing his mind over Dugan’s to FSU. Dugan’s was never going to FSU, and Jarred Williams isn’t transferring.

Yea I don’t remember Kaaya choking against FSU ...it was the defense if I recall , and the offensive play calling after we got a lead

he always froze up in the 2nd half vs them. the extra point game had alot of bad calls so he can get a bit of a pass on that one.

Yes. But it wont matter

Help me understand why it won't matter, friend..

Jarren has a better work-ethic and more talent than anyone we have, and should be a shoe-in to be the starter against UF. I personally feel, if your intimation is a transfer, it would be devastating to the program. He's the last hope in a room devoid of a championship QB, IMO. We'd start year four without hope and, more than anything else, that would signal a tremendous and unequivocal failure by the HC. That's what makes 2019 recruiting so critical because, the Richt regime may not survive another season of substandard QB play. If the best QBs aren't coming and the good ones are leaving, we need new leadership on that side of the ball and maybe at the top as well.

I agree with all ur points unequivocally. Now in answer to your question I will re iterate richt is very hard headed. This same man told jarren after a very basic game from nkosi that he nkosi would be leaving in after his 3rd year. Another words hed of the impression that nkosi is an amazing nfl talent that everyone is swooning over... does that really sound like a man who's set on a actual battle for the job come spring? Nothing weve seen out of any of our qbs nor their position coach should make them feel they have job security. However he treats the past two starters like heisman candidates & the back ups like rudy... ****** around rudy wouldve had a better shot than any of our back ups. As I said I really hope it's an actual open competition. I just have my doubts it will be.

After what I have seen thus far from Perry (especially tonight), this position is there for the taking. Weldon and Jarren should be drooling right now. Live at Greentree, sleep in the film room, stop making excuses and take that spot.

Worst case, Perry will be on a very very short leash.
