Neb fan here. This is true. We made the comparison ourselves. People will laugh at this, but i am 100% positive that Penn State was going to hire Rhule until the Minnesota debacle. Kraft and Rhule are like best friends outside football. Penn State fans didnt want him but I believe they were going to get him. Kraft went full tard and now they are screwed. They will recover after a few seasons im sure but they will end up regretting it.

Josh Pate has been beating this drum since Franklin got fired, and I agree with him.

Iowa State has been horrendous historically, and Campbell has made them a solid program. Why wouldn't you want him?

It's not **** - but unless you're Bama or Ohio State - tough to find a better coach.

I had a buddy whose family came from the far northwestern part of the state.
Good people and so were most of the folks in his hometown.
But I always found it curious about how they would rag on southerners but then say
some outrageous stuff about UM, their athletes and people who lived in the area.
It was.....interesting.

Campbell would be a solid hire.
Possibly an upgrade over Franklin and he may able to bring Becht with him.

I hope Matt Campbell is as excited as I am that, instead of going to PSU, he’s about to sign a huge contract extension to stay at Iowa State.
