Pelon is not coming

In reality we have top 12 class, we just more recruits committed than everyone. Our average score on 247 composite is 88 which is like 12th best. If we had the same out of commits as Bama, we would not in the top 5.

Rivals says we have the 4th best class and have a better avg ranking than FSU. ESPN has us at #3 with 13 guys in their top 300. Spin it anyway you want.

This is not necessarily good logic...our average score is also effected by taking more flyers on kids due to the larger class. If we remove recruits like Rosier or Turner just as an example our average score would rise from 88.

Wouldn't trade our class for anybody's, regardless of size.

Would, however, trade you for a quality poster, or even a punch in the nose.

I seriously doubt academics is the reason as Washington and USC are the other schools he's considering.

Composite is a mix of scout, ESPN, Rivals and 247

All is not lost, we just need Hamilton to finally step, he and Pelon would play the same position in this defense. I would love to see one more DT/DE added to this class, hopefully it can be Kentavius Streets or Edmond Boateng (he is a full qualifier)

2014 DT's
NT Earl Moore JR
NT Michael Wyche JR
NT Travonte Valentine FR
NT Courtel Jenkins FR
DT/DE Olsen Pierre SR
DT/DE Jelani Hamilton JR
DT/DE Anthony Moten FR
For the 2014 season, that is scary

Forgetting Kamalu

Golden stated he is a DE which he played all year.

Good...now I will never follow the recruitment of JUCO defensive linemen again.

I wonder how highly rated Earl Moore would be rated if he went to JUCO instead of spending 2 years here learning and getting ready?
He was pretty impressive coming out of high school. Higher rated than most highly rated JUCO guys were when they were in high school.

My point is, and I'm probably completely alone in this belief, I'd rather trust our young guys than put our hopes into a JUCO guy who we know will need time to acclimate to the speed and strength of college ball.

Sandland is the perfect example. Before he played a down everybody said he was the next Shockey, but the move to the big time seemed to overwhelm him.
Kayne Farhqueson was a 5 star JUCO wr and he pretty much sucked balls.

Our defense will be automatically better next year by having a fully recovered Deon Bush, No Highsmith or Cornelius acting as slalom cones, and any DT's we put in there will be better than Porter and Renfro.

JUCO's are a coin flip. For every stud there are a dozen that are crap.
4 star guys, at any position, after 2 years of busting *** are, generally, going to much better.
On the flip side, I'm hoping Wyche comes in and plays like a 330lb wild man.
