Paying Players (per BJ's latest piece)

If we cant hang with the big dogs, put a similar or better product on the field like D$ said. Makes too much sense and is why this OC hire is very important. May need to throw some cash out there for a QB but our team will sell itself.

the difference is espn/si/and even local reporters who cover the team and want espn and si to notice them would be all over that. they know about bama they k now about Clemson but they don't report it if Miami did that **** would be a piece on si the next day

Yeap, problem no.1 with respect to UM is that people down there don't know how to keep their collective mouths shut.
Five minutes after a prospect gets hooked up it will be all over social media and on Cane sites, including this one...which in turns gets picked up by local media which lives on these same social media sites....and, as mentioned above, local media have no issues putting this on blast in their quest for fame and national spotlight...case in point, look at the dimwits on this site who feel compelled to post everything N'Kosi does every day.

Saban runs the Bama program like a criminal enterprise.

The only other people that never text, email or tweet are the heads of crime families.

Think about it.

Watch the video someone posted a couple weeks ago about the bagman. Saban never even has to ask for bags to be dropped. ****, he could probably land a number of these kids without the bags, the money just seals the deal.

You hit the nail on the head. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve called out posters for ratting out on our players. It happens all the time. If someone sees one of our players eating at a semi-decent joint, they rat it out.

Then, the same posters I call out, argue back and tell me it’s OK to rat our players. That’s the mentality we have here.

Bags. LOL. We can’t even have players drive rentals without getting ratted out.

People that post shlt about us dropping bags are fcking delusional. Can’t happen, won’t happen.

nobody should be surprised. this is how it works. just start paying the players and maybe some of this goes away

Unfortunately, the bags we drop are a lot lighter than everyone else's

Need kids to buy into the program before we start doing any sort of bag dropping

TBH, I'm ready to sell my soul to win, and those who are not ready to do so, can not realistically expect to win. We are in an identity crisis and will not be "back" until we accept who we are - the bad boys of college football. That's going to come with some highs and some lows, but trust me, another Natty will make all of the lows we go through worth it. I know we have PTSD from the sanctions but that will wear off over time and I think you will see this University invest more in the athletic department financially. We will compete on a national level again. It's All About The U

That's some Mafia type stuff right there ha! I bet he "takes walks outside" with recruits when talking about payments to prevent any wiretapping.

I wonder if it is even tougher to trace the money since Bitcoin exists now and all you gotta do is send it to an address on an app on someone's phone. 🤔

Didn’t Shapiro claim he was having a hard time keeping up with the SEC??.

And that’s cause he had other people’s billion dollar ponzi money he was burning through lol

Still don’t get it, do you?

WE DON’T DROP BAGS.

Hundred dollar handshakes from boosters and fans, gifts here and there of small electronics, phones, and the like. Sure, quite likely.

But us compete at a Bama or UGA level, LOL - no. It ain’t happening. For the various reasons already discussed bysome of the smarter posters in this thread.

That’s just the way it is.

If you don’t get it, you don’t understand the financial picture of college football, and where Miami will typically sit in the pecking order of revenue and overall worth. Additionally, we have the absolute lowest number of interested wealthy boosters of any major P5 program - that’s just a fact.

Trust me Nancy, I definitely get it

We're no where near the likes of Bama, Clempson, UGA, UF, etc...

That being said, like you stated yourself, "bags" don't always have to be filled with cash

****, we lost Muhhamed and Grace for getting deals on rental cars. Bama just gives cars away.

A hundred dollar bill and a refurbished iPhone in a paper sack is not a “bag”, genius.

Not when the family one of the coveted DBs we wanted last cycle got 6 figures.

Your response shows you remain clueless.
