Yes, they are dumb football players. The schemes at inner city Miami high schools aren't all that complex. Take a bunch of kids who never had to learn high school-level schemes and throw them into D1 level football and they are lost.

I am starting to think that I would rather have a smart football player who is a step slower than these Miami-Dade athletes who don't really understand the game after playing street ball in high school. Going by the measurables is what sank Larry Coker.

Of course you would, it might improve our US News ranking that you fap to on a daily basis.

Bama and LSU and FSU have no problem taking these "fast and dumb" kids and making them savages on the field.

Ten years of blaming the kids for all being busts. Every program wanted these kids. It isn't a coincidence that ten years in a row our elite recruits end up underwhelming.

Alabama has exactly four (4) kids from the entire south Florida region on their roster. Same with LSU. Four (4). FSU has about ten M-D kids. See, when you take a dumb Miami-Dade kid and surround him with 80+ kids who were taught football in high school, they tend to blend in because someone else can make up for their mental mistakes. The raw talent can do its thing. But when you put an entire unit out there that hails from Miami, you can expect to be out-coached every single time. SOMEONE on the field has to have some mental awareness of what is going on.

I don't really care what the "board" says. Hargreaves came in ready to play at the college level. He probably had 15 pounds on Howard and he had a better burst. And I can guarantee you with his dad he was well coached from youth on up. Give me a weakness in Hargreaves's game?

Howard's game in high school was about being physical. There were several series against BC in 2012 where Tracy was in man coverage and got beat physically. Tracy needed to get bigger. He's a good player and he's a smart kid and he plays well in zone, but to ask him to play him man does not put in a position to succeed.

As for Artie, he goes stride for stride with his man in zone coverage. He struggles at times when the ball is in the air.

The reason our Secondary is the way it is, is because Golden is Ok with how they are playing. Yesterday he said " he wasn't worried about the missed tackles in the open field because they had 84 plays on offense" Are you kidding me? Golden is ok with being just OK. I don't know many screen passes they ran, but it seems like a Corner of Safety missed every one on one tackle opportunity. They just play so timid and never can diagnosis a play.

When I think of Tracy I think Brandon Harris, although Brandon was a much better tackler early in his career. Artie is going to be fine. He's a pup. As for Bush, Lauderdale has it correct.

Nope. They didn't play in complicated enough schemes in high school that taught them to look for the ball when its in the air. That's a very complicated wrinkle in football science schemes that only football geniuses learn when they play growing up.

Well I don't have an answer because unlike you and the rest of the photographic memory team I don't know what you say to be true. This is group think. I read so many posts where guys just spew whatever nonsense some other posters say. Like we ALWAYS play 10 yards off the ball. It simply isn't true. Plus I watch many other games where players provide cushion. Do I like the results of this coaching staff, NO. Are you saying that we have never played a ball in 4 years?

Let me ask one last question. Do you think the coaches specifically tell them not to? This is the fundamental question to this debate. No other questions need be asked.
