Pate is still a believer

No you are misapplying the law of averages leading to said fallacy.

But believe what you want. We can agree on **** adidas

There is a lot of luck in turnovers. It’s a proven fact driven by data. Right now, we are on the wrong side of it. That can change. Doesn’t mean it will. But it can. Hopefully it does soon, as in 72 hours from now soon.

its luck when you dont have a turnover nearly every game. we've played one clean game and that was temple. its a norm to expect turnovers lol esp against a great defense in Clemson. we aren't unlucky. we are undisciplined. thats it. like I said last week w UNC, you guys are underestimating Clemsons D imo. this will be a fight

He is correct on the freak plays. Chaney and Parrish fumbles. Not getting Bain’s forced fumble and the ball getting kicked that Lee snapped sideways.

What can’t be determined by the law of averages is INT’s thrown right at defenders. Some QB’s just suck or throw a ton of picks. There haven’t been many 50/50 balls on those. They’ve been dead at guys. Every QB that’s no longer in the league could say they had positive regression coming if that was the case.

even as accurate as Tua is, hes good for a dumb pick a game. just part of it.

Not sure who you guys is. I never said this game would be remotely easy and Clemson’s defense is absolutely legit.

But fumbling as you fall into the endzone has nothing to do with discipline. The kid hadn’t fumbled since he lived in Oxford. The #1 graded center in the country with his first bad snap of the entire season and the ball getting kicked and being recovered by the defense has nothing to do with discipline. Hitting the opposing QB in the back after pistol whipping the left tackle and making him fumble in his own endzone and not recovering the ball has nothing to do with discipline.

The team has been undisciplined. No doubt. But it’s also been on the wrong end of some horse**** breaks. I’m just hoping the next time we make a QB fumble in his own endzone, we’re able to fall onto the ball, since a ton of that is completely random aka luck. I’m hoping we get some on Saturday.

Correct. Nobody is perfect. Defenders make incredible plays as well. That all plays into it.

It does not play into TVD’s interceptions this year. They’ve been bad throws right at defenders. Maybe he cleans it up, maybe he doesn’t. But they haven’t been “unlucky.”

we have had some fluky turnovers but a lot of our turns weren't flukes. UNC probably had the most of the fluke turnovers that we've had all year.

Miami OH - poor Tyler throw for a pick
ATM - dumb decision to field a punt so far deep and muffed it, poor STs blocking on a blocked punt
Temple was clean
Bethune we had a turnover but that doesn't really make a diff its bethune
GT - we alll know before the non fumble.
UNC - two fluke fumbles, one poorly thrown pick

he is what he is at this point. its not like hes getting balls batted up. hes good for a pick or so a game from a dumb throw where he stared down a receiver. just expect it and not try to use law of regression lol

I have no idea what this is, but make mine a double.

We’re due for a break to go our way. We’ve gotten virtually zero the last 2 weeks.

Didn’t need a break 2 weeks ago. That game was literally in the bag. Despite a shaky performance the players on the field played well enough to win. Mario just went full reeetard and found the one in a million way to lose it.

Agreed. Didn't need a break, but sure would have liked one. Because even with going full boo-boo head, if a kid who literally never puts the ball on the ground just doesn't put the ball on the ground, AND/OR since the ball actually wasn't even on the ground, if the referees just make the clearly correct call, we survive full reeetard mode.

We didn't deserve to, don't get me wrong. A decision that egregious deserves penalty. But it'd still be kinda cool if you could make a call that bad and yet still survive it it, yanno, you got a break.

lesson - never go full honey boo-boo panties. look man I appreciate your optimism, but Mario is a straight up **** bag clown as a coach esp after his response to the call and what they did in practice the week leading up to UNC per Jay Cane. they haven't learned and likely will never. hes as stubborn as golden but well liked bc hes a cane and not a psU fan
