Just a meaningless hypothetical but let's say Butch is off the board- Would you take Narduzzi right now if stipulated that you had to keep him for at least 3 addl seasons? I think the guy will be a helluva coach and is going to do well in our garbage division but I probably wouldn't as he seems more suited for northeast/midwest type of football/recruits. I'd still think about it though as having confidence that we'll hire someone better is iffy at best.

As bad as the ACC is, the BIG10 is a dumpster fire overall. He's a decent coach, but has benefited from the usual teams being down. That game yesterday, that was the one time in 50 it ends that way. Heck, do it again an the most likely way MSU wins is with a return....even without a guy back to field the kick.

What does Narduzzi have to do with that game?

It's hard to get Pitt fans in a frenzy about anything, and it's still pretty subdued, but he has at least generated a little bit of excitement up here. People realize that the next six games could bring everyone back down to earth.

LOL. Yes I would take Narduzzi in a heartbeat. Pitt made a great hire for them. We should take their AD as well whoever he is.

None of that answers the question. Utter fecal matter porst.

He is a total wait and see candidate. He has beaten no one of any quality YET. He had a good game at Iowa but they lost. It will be interesting to see how they do against Notre Dame although I think Notre Dame is overrated.

I would pass on Narduzzi today, at the end of the season, maybe.

Keep in mind that they lost Conner for the season. Where would they be with him in the backfield?

Looks like the team to beat for the Coastal this year. Nov 27 game in their house. We are a bad cold weather team, remember, beer Wisky vas Um in Orlando. Players were more interested in standing by the fire then playing.

Looks like we have the Coastal all sewn up. Charlotte here we come. Yippee!

As a Cane fan living in Pittsburgh I just can't with this thread. Are some of you sniffing glue????
Narduzzi was a humongous get for Pitt and he will (if not this year) over time prove to be that nightmare game at seasons end for this program.

And it wasn't the ad who hired him. It was the chancellor. They actually have an administration that cares and wants to win.
In that respect, they are LIGHT YEARS ahead of us in 'rebuilding'.
And we wouldn't have a snowballs chance in **** at getting him.

Listen ya yinzer, obviously we're not getting him- that's why I deemed it a "meaningless hypothetical". I was just interested if people would "settle" for him right now as we all throw potential names around. I do agree that it was a homerun hire for Pitt though. Their only potential issue is him taking over for Dantonio at some point or maybe getting a big time offer.

Narduzzi would probably be on the short list of defensive minded coaches I'd support hiring.

Oh ****, long weekend and little sleep with a trip to the ER involving the two year old.

Get rid of Al, sure....why not.

Wait..wait..wait did this ninja just say light years ahead of rebuilding. Rebuilding what? Pitt is a sh-t program that isn't on our level..could care less about them..what are they rebuilding to? What have they actually won? Pitt is what they are now....their a outback bowl on a good year sort of team and that's with who they have at coach.

I know. I got it - but some in this thread didn't. but the thing is I don't see any scenario where I'd think of Narduzzi as 'settling' for any program. If he hadn't taken the Pitt position - he'd be among my top choices.

NOPE...nor do i care....They havent won sh*t since ive watch them play in the big east since ive been alive so i could care less..Their not on our level as a football program...
If you care about Rod Rutherford, Larry Fitzgerald, go ahead...but PITT aint been sh*t in 30 years brah.

They had a slight glimmer when they hit s.fla and got Antonio Bryant,Torrie Cox and a few other Liberty City kids..

I mean folks are ready to delete our success and our sh*t was in the 2000's ...these jokers at Pitt aint win sh*t since 1976 and folks asking if i know about their "history"....
